PS3 Finally Outsells GBA

Looks like May was a banner month for the PS3. Apparently, that was the month where Sony’s struggling system crawled its way up the console ladder to sell more units than the Gameboy Advance in the U.S. Here’s a breakdown of May console sales in the U.S.:
1. DS – 423,100
2. Wii – 338,000
3. PSP – 221,120
4. PS2 – 187,765
5. Xbox360 – 154,900
6. PS3 – 81,604
7. GBA – 80,554
8. Gamecube – 10,728
Granted, they didn’t actually sell many more PS3s this month than in the previous month; the GBA just didn’t sell as well. And it’s still not selling even half as good as the PS2, and it’s still trailing behind the Xbox 360. Actually the only system that sold much better was the PSP, probably due to the price drop it received this month. Hopefully a price cut will work the same magic for Sony’s other system.
