PS3 Fanboy Video – Fanboy Defined

I’m not going to take your time and embed the video here, but rather direct you to Destructoid.com to check out the feature on the unintentionally hilarious video some PS3 fanboy made in his spare time.
The video, which is rife with misspellings and choppy editing, tries to make a case for the PS3, addressing critiques the console has received over the past few months since its launch into the marketplace. Unfortunately, not much can be said for the video, and overall it makes you feel like smacking fanboys in general.
What I really like about the post by Destructoid writer Jim Sterling, though, is getting to the definition of a fanboy. Sterling points out that the term is, indeed, often thrown around lightly, and I agree that it should be reserved for instances such as the aforementioned video.
We need to save the title for ridicule, in order to correctly apply it to anyone willing to make themselves look like a babbling idiot for the sole cause of a video game system.

A fanboy by definition is a blithering idiot
This was the greatest video I’ve seen so far. I was an Xbox fanboy, but I now realize what an idiot I was. I’m trashing my unstable 360 and buying a PS3. Thanks for the vid!
Andrew, I don’t know what’s worse. The video, or this post you created for this video. That would be like me creating a post making fun of my 3 year olds art work.
Yeah Andrew, why the hell did you just waste my time. I hope this is your last post.
I don’t understand are you trying to pass this off as a representation of PS3 fans or have you come to the realization fanboyism can lead to a person being mentally defective?
I think he is trying to pass this off as Dorks who make fun of other dorks. By writing this post, he has just stepped down to the Video Kid’s level. Way to go Andrew.

The sad thing about irony is that it’s usually lost on those who need to realize it most.
this video tells the true stupid gaybox 360 fans
The sad thing is this post and the one who wrote it.
Love the video. “PS3 breaks sales records… *cough*in the uk*cough*”,
“PS3 sold beter then the 360 and Wii” (notice the spelling error).
Fanboys are idiots, I don’t care if they are 360, Wii, or PS3 fanboys.
