Just try not to be a lazy slob like the owner of this hardware obviously was. I imagine opening the door to that person's house would unleash a deluge of empty drink containers and doritos bags. Disgusting.

My fix-all for dustyness--

CAN OF AIR!!! *dramatic music in background*

Dust-off and can of air oriented products are usually an excellent way to remove dust from the inside. When console is on, find the fan/intake, aim the can of air, then blast away!

That cloud you see coming out the back end that looks like smoke--as if your console's been set ablaze from the inside? That's dust. All of it. (warning, do not hold can upside down! that is how you get hi--erm... nevermind. Just don't do it yeah?)

I pop open my PC regularly and remove all the dust. It baffles me why you can't (or rather, aren't allowed) to do that with consoles. They collect dust and dust is bad for electronics.
