Project Origin Trailer

Gametrailers have just put up an exclusive trailer to the F.E.A.R. sequel showing off some of the first in-game footage we’ve seen. Not to be confused with the expansion F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate, Project Origin represents a true sequel to F.E.A.R.
Since Vivendi Games owns the rights to the title F.E.A.R., Monolith was forced to rename the sequel after deciding to change publisher. The title Project Origin was actually taken from a contest directed by Monolith to dub the F.E.A.R. sequel. You can read all about the origins of Project Origin at the game’s official website. The game (for PC, Xbox 360, & PS3) won’t see light of day until 2008.
Don’t know about you, but so far the game looks just like the PC version F.E.A.R. with all the graphics settings cranked and some next-gen effects (motion blur) thrown in. Kind of a disappointing trailer in that regards. Let’s hope the gameplay differs enough to not seem like just another expansion.
Yes I know, posting first in my own article is lame, but I’m half-way embarrased to admit that I don’t even remember what the hell happened in Extraction Point. F.E.A.R. has to have one of the vaguest plots in a FPS I’ve ever played. I’ve always thought F.E.A.R. was all scares and no plot. The scares got old too.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. ended up impressing me moreso than F.E.A.R – If those guys had the budget and resources that Monolith have…

never played extraction point, so i don’t remember the story. the first f.e.a.r. though i think had to do with a squad sent into a military science facility to take down a crazed guy with psychic powers and his brain-washed army, who were trying to free a powerful psychic, whose child (that she had at a young age as part of a union between her and her caretaker) was taken from her at birth. i think. yeah, it was a little vague, but still scared the crap out of me.
The graphics seem really good, scarier looking nightmares and of course I hope the game gets alittle more scarier and alot more action.

especially without the use of slomo, plot was reasonable , graphics and effects..really cool
if you like first person shooters, this is a must have..
if u played it and took the time to post a negative message, then U gay
um monolith is ignoring the VUG-company-made games, that includes Extraction point and Perseus mandate..so if u never played the expansions..dont worrie, Project Origin is only a sequel to the original F.E.A.R
