Professor Layton Sequel Coming to US, DLC Already Here

The notion of a sequel being confirmed by a manual might be strange, but it’s not anymore unlikely than downloadable content being made available for a DS game – but both of these things are real in the case of Professor Layton, which arrived in retailers this week.
Game|Life reports that a secret password screen is something the Japanese version of Professor Layton and the Curious Village sports, but is only unlocked by playing the sequel. That same screen is in the US version, so it seems only natural to assume the sequel is headed to the US, right? The manual only serves to indicate this is true, stating the password “will be revealed in the sequel.”
If you’ve already picked up the game, you should connect to the Nintendo WFC and download the first DLC for the game. And, according to GoNintendo, the content won’t disappear when you power down your DS. Nice.
I know I’ll be picking the game up as soon as I finish off my current stack of DS games. This is certainly the kind of game that warrants a demo, and luckily that’s exactly what you can find on the official Professor Layton website.
