Professional Gamers Carrying Olympic Torch for a Stretch

torch1-1.jpgReally it doesn’t take much to become an Olympic torch bearer sometimes (one guy even won the honor in a contest held by a newspaper). So it should probably come as no big surprise that a handful of professional gamers in China will be carrying the flame for a portion of its journey. Jae Ho “Moon” Jang and Li “Sky” Xiaofeng — two Warcraft III players — will be joined by Junchun “Pj” Sha and Lei “Leilei” Shen — two Starcraft players — in the procession leading the torch to the opening ceremonies. There’s no word on when exactly the gamers will be carrying the torch, but each of them should have a chance to carry the flame as it finishes its trip to the Olympic Games in Beijing. Hopefully the protests will have died down by then; otherwise the term “Zerg rush” might suddenly take on a whole new meaning for these gamers.
