ok, my problem is that I started up my own server to test out the northern strike maps and such, cause we all know you wanna drive the Goliath… Anyway, I click join sever and the “This server requires Northern Strike Booster pack etc.”
Help?

Btw, I was snooping around the portal for help, according to some EA links
(new ones too)NSexpan isn’t even out yet [note: it says "pre-order now"].

(imho) Does EA just not care this much to even update their own stuff? (imho)

wtf is up with this game. i buy its it looks asome. i play the reg is pritty good not great but good. then i try to play NS. wtf. i want to play the whole fucking game. i can get into every fine enought but can’t active the god damn NS for the life of me. EA MAKE THS FUCKING SYSTEM WORK OR I WILL FIND U.

i been playing for a while but my computer was too slow so i stopped, a couple of weeks later i tried again and my username had gone. I MAKE A NEW ONE AND THE CD KEY HAS BEEN REGISTERED. WTF

Bought the download version of BF2142Deluxe and the install/activation of the main game went fine but when activating the NS booster pack I get the same “System Error. Try again later.” EA does not respond to mails and the support hotline is constantly busy.
Maybe I should be happy I can at least play the basic game, but this was the last time I bought an EA game fo sho

I had bf2142 only then i bought bf2142 delux.Then i whent to activate NS and it downloaded EA downloader and it didnt activate the game so then i tried to activate it and it said SYSTEM ERROR WTF what do i do FUCKING EA

I am having a similar problem, I just recently bought the 2142 Delux from Best Buy here in my town, then proceeded to download the EADM. After getting my account all set up, I opened up my EADm and logged in, but there is nothing in it, no patches, and I cannot get any support, as it would seem that the EA support site is having sudden internal errors. I would suggest that if you are contimplating buying ANYTHING from ea in the near future, to wait a few weeks/months until they can peice back together from this obvious problem.

PS- For all of you having the problem with Delux, if you can get the regular 2142 patch to work, from a manual download spot, please let me know. Thx.

I hav a problem that tells me that an account is already registered to this key: i only just brought the stupid thing and i registered. now its telling me i put in an email adress i didnt and i cant change the details for the email. i also cant get into ea support because the losers require u to log in first!

Ok tighty bowls,
i had this same problem…

what u need to do is uninstall both games
then install bf2142 and apply the most basic patch u get get that allows northern strike to be installed.
(you will have to find it on the internet without Ea’s help)
then install northern strike, patch it to the latest edition then it should work fine

the reason for this is because there is a compatibility error between the latest patch, and the northern strike expansion

So, I owned BF2142 (regular edition) and upgraded to the Deluxe so I could play Northern Strike and get the unlocks. I had tried to order NS before on EA’s site but it didn’t work. I gave up after several hours of trying everything I could think of.

Now that I have the Deluxe Edition, have installed it and tried to get into one of the NS maps, it says I have to go to EA’s site and buy it again.

I ALREADY BOUGHT THE DAMNED THING!

Does anyone know how to kick the game to get it to work with Northern Strike?

Why sell something that doesn’t even work?

Someone please get back to me!!!

and dewon you have an easy fix, right click on your bf2142 icon and click run as administrator that should allow you to install the patch.

my problem is that when i install the game it runs fine but i close and i wanna play again and when i try to start a single game it quits and says that the game have a error so i have to uninstall the game and install it again so i could play someone could tell what to do plz?

pd i already tried to do the run as admin thing and nothing worked
my specs:
acer laptop
with windows vista nvidia graphics 160 gb hdd 1 gb of ram

Helo i just bought BF2142 and instal and reg wourks fine,
than when i started my game it studd patch availeble
minimize and download in Ea download manidger. but the patch doesent start downloading, and that means i can`t play onlie. PLZ HELP im new.
its driving me crazy!! I lucked upp on all forums but cant find anywon which same problem as me.

Ive been contemplating on whether to buy this game or not. After a couple days of researching, I concluded that most people can play regular bf2142 fine. THe problems occur when they try to activate NS. So I have a few questions:

1. If i DO buy this game and play regular BF2142 only, will there be NS players playing with me as well or is that not possible. I ask this because i find it unfair if they can play with reg bf2142 players, hence they have the extra unlocks and what not.

2. Assuming I am able to activate NS and play it (which i highly doubt since so many people failed to do so), are there even servers hosting NS anymore? I check on game-monitor.com and when i check NS servers, there are none hosting it. So perhaps i should buy deluxe edition to play regular?

Please tell me what you guys think. I dont wanna pay 20-30 bucks for a faulty game that cant even run. Thx
