The new Prince of Persia movie based upon The Sands of Time not only has Jake Gyllenhaal, and Gemma Arterton slated to star in it, but now two great cinematic actors are on board as well.

Alfred Molina (Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Spider-Man 2) will star as Sheik Amar, who becomes a mentor to the prince while Sir Ben Kingsley (Sexy Beast, Schindler’s List, The House of Sand and Fog, Gandhi) will play the villain.

This will be the second time the illustrious Kingsley will star in a movie based on a videogame – remember BloodRayne? Of course you don’t because no one saw it. You can’t really fault him for it though, because sometimes you need a paycheck no matter what.

  1. Ben said the only reason he was in Bloodrayne is because he had never played a villian before and wanted to try it.

This is the first smart thing the makers of this movie have done, now if they would just get rid of the gay cowboy and put in another actor

  2. Anonomus says:

I’m going to say this now before I forget Because if any of you has truely Played the games or watched any kind of movie in your lives you shouldn’t complain about him being white because if he’s any other race or gender he will probably die FIRST. But seeing the guy who’s playing the prince I wouldn’t mind to see him get stabbed and drop kicked off of a 400 story building because that would be funny to see.
