Prince of Persia Film to be Helmed by Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Director?

Jerry Bruckheimer and Disney are busily trying to get the pre-production phase of the upcoming film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time wrapped up so the film can start being physically put together. As such, they’re apparently in talks with Mike Newell to direct. Most people may remember his most recently released film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, though my favorite movie of his was Donnie Brasco. The script for the film has already been written by Jeremy Nachmanoff and Jordan Mechner. The studios aren’t in too big of a rush to get production underway though until some labor issues have been resolved.

I thought Goblet Of Fire was the worst one. They better not screw up on this.
