Presenting the Weighted Companion Cube PC Mod

I think we all knew this was coming sooner or later. Thanks to a pink heart and the fact that you’re forced to incinerate it, the Weighted Companion Cube from Portal has gained quite a following among gamers. So of course it’s only natural that someone would want to fashion their own PC in the image of the little Cube. Magnus Persson constructed the case for his rig out of acrylic and then crammed in all the hardware he’d need for some basic web surfing and MP3 functions. The result is a 20cm cubed that would look adorable on anyone’s desk. That is until some pesky test subject happens along and tosses it into a fire.

Awesome.
:D:D:
What kind of power does it have? I’ll assume it doesn’t have the newest quad-core, or an 8800 Ultra.

Wow, when you say it like that, it kind of puts it in perspective. I mean, I already think most people miss the whole joke of the Cube; it’s not that you’re supposed to feel bad about incinerating it, but the fact that GLaDOS tries to make you feel bad so you’ll feel all the more alone and your spirit will be crushed, but tries to do so in such a blatantly forced and ridiculous way. These people ran “The cake is a lie” into the ground, too, just because the sentence sounds LOL SO RANDOM CAEK XD. I love the game, it’s funny. But goddamn you, internet, for referencing it in lieu of having your own wit. It’s pretty much like Family Guy now.
