PQI just announced thier 256GB Solid-State SATA in their press release forum. PQI’s new SSD Turbo+ is a SATA drive with a massive 256GB size. The SATA name is a little deceiving, because it’s rated slower than the SATA spec actually allows at 60MB/s. The standard is 300 MB/s. However, this is still a lot of size and power for the price. We’ll probably be seeing these in a lot of laptops soon and possibly used one day in video game consoles. At this point, no one knows. The price will definitely not be “cheap” but PQI has a history of relatively decent prices.
