agsplash winners Popular Pick Winners Revealed on Nickelodeons AddictingGames ShowdownOver 5 million votes were tallied before winners were announced at Nickelodeon’s “AddictingGames Showdown” this Saturday, June 27th. AddictingGames, a new online game site introduced this month, has a catalog of 3,500 free online games. These flash games were sorted into ten categories for judging and the winners were announced at the “AddictingGames Showdown” event hosted by iCarly’s Jerry Traino. The unconventional categories for these casual games include Mostest Edumacational and Poppiest Pop Culture game.

Hosted by iCarly’s Jerry Trainor, the “AddictingGames Showdown” was created to spotlight the booming online games industry, which grew 23 percent in 2008 and now reaches 86 million players according to comScore. The winners were announced on TV and on the “AddictingGames Showdown” microsite which drew 16 million game plays and 26.5 million page views since its launch on June 3, 2009.
