Pokemon Platinum Revealed by Nintendo

pokemonplatinum1 Pokemon Platinum Revealed by NintendoA new Pokemon game; what a surprise. Nintendo has unveiled the next title in the franchise with Pokemon Platinum, which is due out this fall. Unfortunately, it’s not really a full-fledged sequel, but rather an expansion to Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. As such, the game will most likely include a similar story, but with different critters for you to capture, like this demonic centipede looking thing called “Giranta.” Yeah, it’s pretty much a ploy to get Poke-fanatics to shell out more cash for cheap follow-up game, much like Pokemon Yellow was to the original Red/Green; and hordes of people are sure to fall for it. At this point though, Nintendo must be out of metals to use in their titles now, unless the next two games are “Pokemon Cobalt” and “Pokemon Nickel.”

Uhh, don’t you mean the original “Red/Blue”?

Well, you’re close. It’s called Giratina, first off, and it’s in Diamond in Pearl. This is its ‘Origin Form’ and it’s also on the cover of the game. It will be the central point of the game, replacing Dialga and Palkia, though they both take part.
Considering that this is indeed not a true sequel it’s high doubtful there will be any new Pokemon (but possible that Pokemon already in game will be revealed, such as Arceus (maybe). However, that’s not really that bad. Yellow version, Crystal version and Emerald version (the ‘cheap follow-ups’) all added something to gameplay of the original versions. I’m sure this one will be stellar as always.

No I don’t work for Gamefreak or The Pokemon Company, I just love the games! :)

I don’t like your tone, though.

You don’t like his tone? well fuck you.
Seriously, the games have been milked and milked and milked. The DS is capable of so many wonderful things yet it sticks to the same fucking formula over and over again, and the majority of fans of the Pokemon games are starting to realize thats its the same old same old, except for somethings as you claim “added something to game play” oh yeah, a battle frontier at the end of the game where you battle.. and thats it.

    Meh.
    Rant over.

I have absolutely no clue about Pokemon whatsoever, but the Katakana read differently. The name on the pic actually spells “Giratina”.

i think the game will be great. just like “ignorance hater” said its unlikely to be any new pokemon just diffrent versions of them like dark and lite pokemon. and most of these “cheap-fallow-up games” are really fun and diffrent. Many people remember the Yellow extended version, they had all of the starter pokemon plus a cute little pikachu that fallowed you around. now games have special places or people to meet and see. any fan can go on about the new features to the “cheap-fallow-up games”. Pokemon ROX!!
