gun2 2 Please Make Me! Gun 2

Gun was a multi-platform game that garnered some critical praise and popularity. However, it also had the distinction of being one of the best Wild West video games in recent memory. The controls were smooth, the action was fun, and the story was on par with some of the best Hollywood Westerns. A sequel to this game would take much of the original elements, just add more and make it bigger. I’m talking the difference between GTA III and GTA: San Andreas.

The most crucial overall change that this game would need though is for it to be much longer than the original. The first game took me less than a day to beat; and that was with completing all the side missions. However, this could be easily remedied just by adding onto the original gameplay. A larger variety of stats, for example, could provide opportunities for more ways to improve them through side missions and such.

For starters though, the map needs to be expanded a lot. There were only two towns in Gun, and it only took a couple of minutes to get from one end of the map to the other. Besides which, there really wasn’t much you could do in these towns besides take on similar missions and buy things. There needs to be at least four distinct towns that provide their own unique items, equipment, and such, so you’re encouraged to revisit them often. The lone travelers in old Westerns always seemed to know someone in every town they visited who could provide them with shelter and supplies. Why not carry that idea over to Gun 2, but make it similar to acquiring property in GTA? Say you perform a mission, like saving a family from some bandits. Now that family could provide you a safe haven to replenish your supplies and maybe stash some stuff.

I know Activision ran into some trouble with The Association for American Indian Development over the original game, but there needs to be more tribes than just the Apaches. This could open up a whole slew of gameplay features too, as you could do missions for for the various tribes, which could put you in their favor. Yeah I know setting them up like rival gangs is bound to cause some controversy, but we’re not going for realism here; we’re going for the Hollywood version of the Old West.

Even though there was something kind of noble about being a lone do-gooder in an area full of outlaws, it would be nice to at least have the option of being an outlaw yourself. That one gameplay aspect alone could offer a diverging storyline and some replayability should the game still be too short. In the original game, you were often tasked with foiling a bank robbery or a stage coach hijacking, but I wanted to actually pull off these capers myself. Say you wanted to rob a bank; then you’d need to get a crew together and plan out a heist. Being able to recruit some hired guns could make for some interesting gameplay itself, provided their A.I. was up to snuff.

As far as story goes, it needs to be gritty and gripping. There’s a reason I played this game all the way through in one day: I really wanted to know what would happen next. The story in the original Gun was full of almost as many twists as the first season of Deadwood. Whatever changes are made to the gameplay, the story in the sequel needs to be at least comparable to the one in the original.

This is a sequel that needs to happen, especially since this was Activision’s best selling original game for 2005. Besides which, games set in the Old West are few and far between; and ones that are actually worth playing are even fewer.

Yeah, I really enjoyed the original. The only gripe I had was some of the missions. I hate missions where your job is to protect something and bad guys pretty much come for a set period of time. Like when you were in the bar keeping the bad guys from setting it on fire. Its like you just stand their and guys keep running in the door with torches. I mean, how many guys with torches could be outside? Is there a line so that only a couple can come in at once? Same thing with the indians trying to blow up the bridge. Where do they get 100 indians in line to strike the bridge. They just keep coming indefinitely. Hokey missions like that need to go.

gun2 should expand the range of locations across the western half of the united states. With many more climate and weather changes, also exept in one or two missions it was always day time and never changed to night outide of missions. There should be areas that rain or snow sometimes. Exept during missions there werern’t any indians or travelers on roads or areas between towns except for an occassional bandit attack there seemed to be no human life outside of the towns in the original game.I hope to see more wildlife
in the sequel more bears, mountain lions, deer, maybe rattlesnakes. Also small game such as rabbits, pheasants, duck or geese.Shotguns should have fisrt person shooter as well.Aslo need a wider range of melee attacts with and withought weapons. Random items should be availabe for melee attacts. More levels more enemeis more wildlife and climate changes.

i really enjoyed playin the first game but i think there were a lot of stuff that could be improved upon first of all the map was wayyyy too small and there should have been more towns and more people inside the towns and outside the towns that are interactive and you can actually have a conversation with them i also think that there should be more wildlife outside the towns. another thing is i completed the game in about 2 days the game needs to be a lot longer and i think think that the story could have been better. and i also like the idea of climate changes i think that would be kinda cool. so this is why i think u should make GUN 2.

I think that Gun was an awsome game i still canot get over the story line and all of that other stuf it was sutch an awsome game and I think that the map should be expanded alot and have more mishons and the only thing i though was abit crap about was the fact that you have to vs like 3 boses together i didnot like that but apart from that i think it was an Excelent game ) if i had to make a sequal it would be caled (Guns) and it would be about the colt and that indein have to to anouther part of the willed west to stop people trying to find the were abouts of the mine that was in the eriganle Gun and then for the last part you would have to go back to west with the towns Dodge and Empire and then you could huck up with some of your old m8s back in the origenle and then vs and ultimat bossssssssssss at the end and that would be AWSOOOOM )))))))))))) Also i think that you should have relashon ships with people and can have hid outs and can stash things and you can go in to buildings apart from the ones that you can alredy go in by jack

  7. jack says:

  8. bob says:

i agree gun should have hideouts and stuf like that, but u should be able to change ur clothes like in bully and 50-cent bulletproof and more guns.u should also be able to have differrent breeds of horses like a quarter horse wold be faster than a throughobreed but less stanima.

  9. bob says:

u should name and custimize ur horse 2

  10. sean says:

I’d totally be psyched about playing gun 2. i love the first one but i’ve played it so many times. i mean it doesn’t get old, but i’d like something new. maybe even download content on the xbox 360 that would add new missions. the size of the map would be cooler to improve in a new one but i didn’t really mind the size of the map in the first i felt it fit the game well.

  11. zack says:

the second one could be more awesome more guns, more to do,there also should be more towns you can go to,u should be able to customize ur own horse.it could rock if they did it right!

  12. will says:

Yea nice points dude. It would have to be one of the best games I have ever played. I think it would be cool customising your gun

  13. Gun Wins says:
