PlayOn will not play Netflix movies in HD. Simple reason is that Netflix still doens’t have any HD content. Most movies come in 640×480i or 640×480p resolution.
I am streaming Netflix, Hulu and YouTube via D-Link DSM-520 HD media player quite happily now after MediaMall resolved some compatibility problems. There are not hiccups when streaming either, although if the computer where PlayOn is installed is not fast enough, you may have to try to play the clip several times because something in the server times out.
But surely, when HD content becomes available, it would be pretty cool to be able to stream it right to big screen TV.
