Players to Choose SOE Fan Faire 2008 Site

Sony Online Entertainment is offer players the chance to participate in planning this year’s Fan Faire. Over the next 13 days, players can vote on the site, date and even the admission price for SOE Fan Faire 2008.
The SOE Fan Faire is a Sony Online Entertainment-sponsored event designed to allow players the chance not only to meet one another, but also many of the more prominent SOE personalities. It’s a great opportunity to meet the real people behind the online avatars and the game itself. Though attendees will have plenty of opportunity to mingle freely with one another and make new friends, they’ll also have the chance to participate in a number of panel discussions and game-themed live events.
It’s great when companies offer gamers an opportunity participate in events like this. Of course the cynic in me also thinks it’s a wonderful way for SOE to see which location is generating the most interest and therefore potential sales. I’m not sure why the company is offering players a choice on the admission. I would sure vote for the lowest offer.
