Play Digital take a shot at Burnout Paradise is its latest video review. Take a look at the best Burnout since Burnout 2. Apparently the only element lacking is Guns and Roses.

Take me down to Paradise City, where the grass is green and the cars are obscenely fast.
This latest instalment in Paradise City marks a departure for the Burnout series – changing from a series of events to a massive open world where you can choose what you want to do, when you want to do it. I spent a very happy time cruising around, unlocking new cars and generally causing some crash-mode carnage.

Watch the show to get my verdict on the full game, not to mention a look at my hot stuff driving skillz!

I’ve never really been a fan of Play Digital. Her reviews seem to be something out of someone else’s mouth or something.. like she’s reading off a teleprompter or something. I could be wrong, but their reviews don’t seem to have much original flavor to them. It’s almost like she just rattles off the obvious.

Isn’t that the case with most reviews including ours? We all point out flaws and merits in an obvious manner. Having spoken with Katharine I don’t think anyone is putting words in her mouth, she’s not a Morgan Webb. She may be reading from a teleprompter from a script that she wrote – which would be the case with most televised recordings. She is not winging the reviews, that much is obvious.

Most reviews do tend to be on the obvious side. I guess I just don’t find anything exceptional with their reviews in general. As I said, I could be wrong.. but the teleprompter thing is just a feeling I get from watching their videos. I guess with all the review videos out there, I’m always looking for something that sets the review apart from others.
