infact you do have to pay for the internet. most people pay for that. Xbox live for the $3 a month for the service you get ontop of the internet cost ofcourse,

The unified friends list. It is always on and so easy to play. well worth it. No PC upgrades each year or video cards. Not all PC online games are free. many have monthly suscriptions/Signups well over the cost of Xbox live. I have never had an issue with Xbox live. I cannot say the same for PC gaming. and i never have tried the PSN.

PC/PSN/Xbox live. Its all the same concept. There is nothing on one that the other cannot do or able to. If someone dont favor a certian console they arent missing a thing, no matter what they have. I dont own a PS3 so im not missing a thing. when the price drops, sure why not

That’s a good point, however you don’t have to pay to go on the internet and go into game lobby’s. It’s an interesting trade-off mind you; hoping that you’ll find other people in a game lobby like you (which invariably happens) or paying for uniformity and general speed.

IMO Live works far better because of the uniformity between games. I’ve been put off playing a lot of online PC games simply because of all the set up, registration and other inexplicable crap.

I think Live is a clever system, but nothing that wasn’t already achieveable on a PC anyhow (unless I’m completely missing something, in which case, apologies and I’ll retract statements) that being said, for consoles, the only way they can be compared on is the level of ‘a different way of gaming’. I think they’re equal, to be honest. Imagine a console with Wiimote-like innovation with Live facilities.

I think Live offers a great service and the Wiimote a genuinely fun way to play. I would have to pit them as entirely equal.

Yeah, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy and Gran Turismo will all be rubbish. As will Heavenly Sword, Ratchett and Clank, God of War III, Tekken 6, The Getaway 3, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, Time Crisis 4, Killzone 2, L.A. Noire, LittleBigPlanet and Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Warhawk is toss as well.

What I said is 100% true. If you only own a PC and a 360 you are going to miss out on loads of the biggest and best games compared to someone who only owns a PS3 and PC.

Who cares for PS3 exclusives if you dont own a PS3. I sure dont care. Xbox live is the best online game service vs Playstation network and is the simplist to use and have fun. no hastle. Xbox 360 has tons of exclusives that Sony only wish they had. Both systems have their exclusives, for me Xbox 360 is the way to go.

I own a Wii and yes it was fun for the first month, until the fun wears off and u are swinging a wii mote for outdated looking games. but yes Wii is a different type of fun. Xbox 360 and Xbox live is the true fun experience.

Not owning a PS3 i am not missing a thing. Sony needs to get more games out, in time they will, but i hope their PSN will be close to Xbox live. its well worth it and most fun i ever had playing a console. if there was no xbox live, i wouldnt own a 360 or even play it. 95% of my gaming is online. On LIVE!

How do you know the PS3 exclusives will be that amazing Norbit? There aren’t any games at the moment worth buying a PS3 for. Xbox live makes console gaming so easy. While the wiimote thing is fast becoming a gimmick for a console with 2nd generation hardware.

OK lets look at the facts. If you own a 360 and a PC you can play loads of good games but no PS3 exclusives which will be some of the best and biggest games to be released. If on the other hand you own a PC and a PS3 you can play pretty much everything because most 360 ‘exclusives’ will be on the PC.

I do agree that Xbox live will have a far bigger effect on console gaming than the Wiimote.
