Peter Jackson Making Halo Animated Series? No, Actually

I hate it when I post some cool news only to find out later that it wasn’t true at all. Turns out the statements made by Shane Kim regarding a Halo animated series to be helmed by Peter Jackson were completely false. This inaccurate report spread throughout the web due to a “transcription” error. Apparently, Kim actually was talking about a “collaboration with Peter Jackson on the interactive series” rather than an “animated series.” This would more support the original notion that Jackson is working with Bungie on a game.

How you can mix up “interactive” and “animated,” I don’t know. I’m just disappointed that my hopes and dreams of a Halo cartoon have been dashed upon the cliffs of despair (wow, that sentence made me want to vomit). Guess I’ll just have to curl up with my DVD set of Captain N: The Game Master for now.
