Pelican Air Flo Cooler (360) Review

A while back, I purchased a cooling system for the Xbox 360 for 20 bucks which turned out to be a piece of junk. The main problem I had with it was that it would continue running even after I shut off the 360, causing me to have to unplug everything just to turn the fans off. Pelican has released a new cooling system (#3 in the photo) for the 360, so I picked it up the other day and am completely impressed with it. For 30 dollars, it really can’t be beat.
The real bonus of this new gadget is the way it hooks up to your system. There’s no need to run a cable to the fan to your Xbox 360 anymore. The performance is excellent and there is no noticeable loss in sound or graphics using the connections it has on the back. For 30 dollars, I’d say this is a “must have” to help protect your investment.
Here’s what you get with the Pelican Air Flo Cooler for the 360:
- Dual Velocity Fans
- 4 Extra USB ports
- VGA Port
- Video Outputs
- Optical Sound Output
- S-Video Output
- Ethernet Port

You mean, “Must Have”
and yes, I’ll consider purchasing it once I buy a tree fitty.
Having extra outputs might be helpful to some people but now Microsoft are repairing the 3RROD faults for the first 3 years of ownership I can’t see the point of this.
They released one for the PS3 (why???) but I’ve never seen one so I have no idea of the noise levels but I read on IGN that the fans on this are louder than the the ones on the 360 so given how noisy the 360 already is I’m surprised this doesn’t come with ear protection.
Just turn up the stereo, you won’t hear the fans ( or your kids, it’s great! )
i have this fan on mine…and its no loud at all. Its nice to be able to hook it up to my computer monitor also. Im definitely glad i purchased it.
