This morning, Xbox owners got some F.E.A.R. love with a demo for F.E.A.R. Files: Extraction Point. Luckily, TimeGate isn’t leaving PC owners out in the cold and has released a new demo for the newest stand-alone expansion in the series, Perseus Mandate. The expansion with give a new perspective to the event at Armacham, as the story runs parallel to that of the first game and Extraction Point. You’ll also get a chance to use some new weapons and fight even creepier enemies. Just click the link below to check out the demo.

Downloading….
It ran great on my system, but I beat it in less than 10 minutes
This expansion is made by TimeGate Studio’s, not Monolith. Monolith is working on Project Origin. They did help a little bit but the main maker of this demo is TimeGate.

I need computer upgrade
Well the screenshot above is from Extraction Point, but Perseus Mandate is using the same engine as in their last expansion. The only problem is they poorly optimized the map. I never had a problem on F.E.A.R. and EP before running on max settings. I run on max settings and I can tell when I’m running from one sector to another cause it lags between them.

I experienced a bit of lag in certain areas too, but it never lasted longer than a few seconds.
I wish the demo would have been longer, I never can get enough FEAR. Loved the grenade launcher though.
