They may have stopped selling faulty consoles (allegedly) but they haven't 'corrected the fault' in any way. They haven't 'corrected' the consoles they have repaired. They just repaired the damage the fault caused and they haven't 'corrected' the potential fault in millions of consoles sold. The only way they could have done that is by recalling them. I was under the impression that the consoles they are selling now are exactly the same hardware as the faulty ones and the fault is only going to go away with the new 65nm CPU. I’ll clarify. And though the 360 may have slowed, I still haven't picked mine up for Halo-3 yet, and know a few other people in the same boat as I. This being said, the PS3 will only continue to rise in sales as it receives more games that people want to play. It makes me laugh that people keep banging on about how successful the Wii is when the biggest selling console worldwide this year is the PS2. I suppose that fact doesn't fit in with the Sony bashing so it gets ignored. 'the design flaw that caused the high failure rate has been corrected.' Its been acknowledged and responsibility has been taken for fixing the damage it causes. It has not been corrected. I believe Sony also sold over 200,000 PS2’s which people seem to forget about.
