Is VGCharts.com really that bad? Everyone I ever talk to about them seems to hold them with contempt. I honestly thought they were a somewhat reliable source for sales figures. Guess not.

The only way to decide who sells the most consoles is to wait until none of them are selling anymore, and then see where the numbers are. That may be 5-10 years down the road. Until then, who cares?

Norbit is obviously either on Sony’s payroll, or he’s just been duped into thinking that somehow the PS3 (aka glorified Blu-Ray player) is the best console out there when the only place on earth where the PS3 beats the 360 is in Japan. Everywhere else in the world, the 360 sells better. Want proof check VGcharts.com, granted, that is not the most reliable source for sales statistics but it does reflect a generally accurate count.

Not only that, the PS3 (aka glorified Blu-Ray player) has the least amount of exclusive games, and personnaly of all the exclusive games the PS3 (aka glorifed Blu-Ray player) has only one might interest me.

Plus the Wii is kicking everybody’s ass so why the title of this article isn’t simply, “The Wii kicks everyone’s ass in sales,” is beyond me.

Norbit knows PC’s, that much is clear, but when it comes to consoles he doesn’t know his ass from a hole in the ground. He’s a Sony fanboy poser.

I really dont have anything against xbox 360 it was entertaining for the time i owned it, but i sold it when i got bored with the games i bought it to play for, so i moved on to ps3 where my games are, and will be coming out… i love bluray and hd…but bluray wins!

Only $50 more for 40gig that the premium, if you’re going to online, you don’t pay for so that’s your $50 right there – altho i guess you don’t get the headset so you have to go blow $20 on a bluetooth one.

It has a nice online store that even some 360 guys are saying ‘wow that’s better than live market place’ – now they have the icon load times sorted Its free, we have dedicated servers and don’t rely on p2p servers as much, infact some developers say they prefer the online freedom that sony gives them on the dev. side when compared to live.

Now you do have achievements, which I personally don’t care about, but sony is going to copy and I believe thats going to be part of home (they patched lair i believe to include test achievements). And I know you get in game messaging? But again this is being implemented. Now i know ‘being implemented’ isn’t the same as currently in use by X amount of users like it is on live.

So please, I’m not being an ass, but i really just want to read more than ‘Live owns the PSN’

As for the machines themselves,……… Well I can honestly see what nintendo was harping on about, I love my PS3, but i am sorry, its the last gen with better gfx thats it. At least the wii brought something new to the table, even if its implemented pretty badly by 3rd parties (yes i also own a wii and pc).

I pretty much also view the 360 and ps3 as the same, in fact the ONLY reason i purchased a ps3 was because of the RROD and the shape of the ps3 pad which i am used to due to the ps3, and those are the ONLY reasons.

I own all of them except the wii because I see no fun in that (besides super smash bro on a gamecube controller). Anybody that owns both a PS3 and an Xbox 360 will tell you that as of right now, the 360 is a much better console. Its online owns the PS3, and PS3 has no really good games right now. Now ever since the PS3 has come out, everyone has been preaching these games that are gonna change the face of the universe and they keep getting pusehd back or they suck (Lair anybody?). PS3’s online was like an afterthought, I mean if I don’t have a bluetooth headset I’m basically SOL on speaking with anyone.

Now truthfully, xbox 360 fans need to quit thinking their games are the greatest ever. Truthfully, the only reason I buy 360 games anymore is to play online with friends… most of them are trash, especially the ones the majority of people seemed obsessed with (halo 3 anyone?)

PC fans… I cry for you. PC is superior in every single way. It costs way less than a console to keep up and maintain once you have a good base system(180 dollar Nvidia 8800GT will play any game at a high resolution and detail with a normal system besides crysis) and gets absolutely no credit for its games. Company of Heroes, Battlefield 2, Counter Strike Source, Supreme Commander, Crysis Editor (game sucks), Call of Duty 4(18 player matches on the 360 just cant really compare to 36 or more). We need more respect.

My PC is more powerful than a PS3 also but that doesn’t mean it can play GT5, Final Fantasy 13 or Metal Gear Solid does it? Are you under the impression that bench marked power is more important than games? I enjoy PC gaming but I own a PS3 to play the great games that arent on the PC.

That’s one of the most stupid things I’ve read on here and pretty much exposes you as the retarded Xbot you are As for it battling for second place? LMAO The 360 is tanking worldwide and will finish way last. The 360 has been outsold every week in 2008 by the Wii, PS3, PSP, DS and PS2. There is no battling going on, just the 360 imploding and the PS3 catching it rapidly. The PS3 will almost certainly win this console war because it will still be selling in 5-10 years time unlike the Wii.

Ugh! Hey guys, It’s all about the games. I’d rather hear about how many copies of Call of Duty 4 were sold up to date. I’m only a fan of game developers, not console design. There are several platforms, including PC (my favorite), that a game can be released on. Some games are released on all platforms. Some great games are only released for a specific console so that people are sucked into buying that console. It’s an evil marketing ploy. Overall, the little guy could care less about numbers. I never read much about game consoles, but of course I’ve read all about the new GTA release that is due. Without the marketing of the many dedicated game developers a console would be as useful as my toaster or DVD player. I really wish that PC gamers weren’t neglected. My PC is more powerful than a PS3.
I stopped chasing game consoles, and have the patience to enjoy PC gaming.
