Orange Box TV Trailer HD (WMV) [20MB]

Valve have just sent word that our goodies will be unleashed at midnight:

We’ll be unlocking The Orange Box products just after midnight Pacific time next week on the 10th of October. Lots of people have been having a lot of fun with the Team Fortress 2 beta, so we’re looking forward to seeing what people think of Portal and Episode Two. The Orange Box will also be available at North American game retailers later on the 10th, for both PC and XBOX 360.

For the time zone illiterate on the east coast, that means 3am. So if you want to be playing within the very hour, you’d best be pre-loading that sucker right now. Hopefully, we’ll get see the Meet the Demoman trailer soon. For now, enjoy the Orange Box TV trailer above.

  1. xx-Thor-xx says:

why did that start with an EA logo?

  2. Steve says:

Because EA is the distributor of the hardcopies of Orange Box.

  3. Lupo says:

Because EA is publishing the retail boxed dvd’s. EA has had the deal for quite some time now with Valve, they publish and ship Valve’s games to retail stores… but that’s all they do. They have NO say in what Valve does.

  4. Steve says:

Also, don’t forget that Orange Box is coming to 360 and PS3 as well. The trailer doesn’t just represent the PC version alone. Someone has to press, manufacture, and distribute those pretty console packages.

That being said, Steam is still the cheapest way to get Orange Box. I hope Valve makes a killing with it.

  5. xx-Thor-xx says:

well, that answered my question, i was hoping that EA had no say in valves decisions. who distributed HL2 was that EA as well?

  6. Steve says:

    Sierra, I believe.

  7. Steve says:

… and I would be wrong. Looks like it was EA as well.

  8. Steve says:

    lol, half wrong still.

I remember now, it was originally Vivendi Universal until Valve got into some legal dispute with them early after HL2’s launch. They ended up with EA after it was all said and done.

Mand has HL2 been out that long? It seems like it was yesterday.

  9. Peter says:

So when is this hitting PS3 ?

  10. Chris says:

Peter, it’s hard to say. Supposedly it was a few weeks behind the 360 and PC versions, but it seems to have gotten pushed back more than that. GameStop current has the release date at December 11.
