Old School Sunday: Moonwalker

Michael Jackson may be a nose-less freak who is a little too into children these days, but back in the day things were much different. He was the man. One of my all-time favorite games when I was a kid had to be Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker in the arcades and on the Sega Genesis. The game also showed up on the Sega Master System.
The above video is one of the better ones I have seen on YouTube. You can talk all the smack you want about the game now, but it was the shiznit back in the day. There’s simply something interesting about the spirit of gaming back in the old school that few games are able to re-capture these days. Michael may be a freak now, but the game was total genius for it’s time. I’d really love to see companies make more games like this now.

trivia time: What other game, on Dreamcast, did MJ appear in? Here’s a hint. It was a game with singing & dancing. $20 to the one who gets the correct answer first!
Back in the day Michael was the man… and quite for some time… Even now when I fire up one of his albums I get the feeling of nostalgia and the urge to do some silly or hard to do moves by todays standards… Come to think of it, I was known in my junior high as a very good impersonator… Yet now, when you get his music on at some present day high-school party, everyone gets to etiquette him AND his music as freakish. It’s so… racist in a way… Anyway, I don’t wonder what came over him these last few years… He is an emotional wreck and I don’t wonder why. How would you feel if half the planet knows you and then your nose falls off in public? I’d be in a sanatorium for sure. About the game, being as old as it is, it’s quite nice, I really liked the moment when he just shouts Whaow at 1:40. Laughed so hard almost fell of my chair. Cheers, DS.

well.. he is sort of a freak. I wouldn’t call that racism.. he’s just wacked out. I don’t think anyone could say he isn’t. I feel bad for him in ways, because he really did have a messed up childhood and I think that somehow he never really grew up.
The genesis version was actually superior to the arcade imo.
The lonely thing to call someone be it Michael or anyother it’s a thing said from the ignorance, freaks are the people that talk about something they don’t know, don’t understand or more realistically don’t want to understand, i know many people that need to make labels for everyone and to tell oh, i feel bad, because he was good before, now it’s a “freak”, false allegations, if you hate him, tell what you think, don’t try to convince anyone that you feel bad for him, he and noone need our sorry, he was and IS the BEST singer, dancer, song writer ever, he has made the 4 or 5 best selling albums of all time, Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, History, really a freak will be able to be in the Number 1 for all that time ?
All that allegations, false news is the new from fascists to dismiss and create smoke about any important black people, so, i only say to all…: STOP RACISM AGAINST Michael Jackson and any other black or simply different people like Prince, Madonna and anyone that don’t follow the rules of this false society !!!
Yeah I would say a freak could be #1 for that long. I’m not really sure what your angle is here, but there’s no false news going on here. And I wouldn’t say Michael Jackson just doesn’t follow the rules of society.. he is a deeply disturbed guy who probably needs some help.
I repeat; Michael is NOT a freak, even this word “freak” is wrongly used, long time before this word was used to say computer addict (not in any bad way) people that like it to make many different things with they’re computers, now is used to tell about rare or simply different people, and for a people that has been at the highest place for decades like is MJJ, for people that do not followed his big carrer breaking all records, hearing what the yellow press says, are creating a very false image of what it is a very good people, that has donated more than any other to help children and make all happy, (sorry for my bad english) with amazing videos and songs, with the biggest tours ever made (HIStory, Bad, Dangerous), and people that don’t want anything other than macho man’s don’t want to understand this kind of things, sensivility is not woman emotion, is a human emotion.
As for another talk, i was played in the 80’s a zx spectrum version of Moonwalk, but didn’t like it very much, i liked most Green Beret !
