Old School Sunday: Devastators Flyer Art

I miss the old arcade flyer art from the 1980s. It’s really a shame that the arcades are a dying thing in the United States. In most towns, arcades are already extinct. The closest arcade to my house is Dave and Busters which is 3 hours away in Charlotte, North Carolina. And I will drive there on a whim sometimes just to get a little arcade fun into my weekends. Kotaku uncovered some classic arcade art with the Devastators flyer.
Konami released Devastators into wide release in 1988. Capitalizing on the popularity of Contra, Devastators took on the similar plot device of two guys taking on hordes of enemies. It was set in the far flung future of 1989 and involved a Middle Eastern dictator who had taken over a small country.
