Okami for the Wii to be “an Exact Port”

Ever since Okami for the Wii was announced, people have been wondering if there will be anything added or cut from the original version. Well, wonder no more, since the president of Ready at Dawn, Didier Malenfant, has now made it perfectly clear that the Wii game will be exactly like the PS2’s:
“The game on Wii is going to be an exact port of the PS2 version and I think that’s what fans of the franchise want to see. This game has such a huge following throughout the world that people would probably send us death-threats if we messed it up by trying to add things that don’t have their place in the Okami universe. Being huge fans of the franchise ourselves, we made sure that Capcom also wanted to stay true to the original before signing on to do this.”
As someone who has yet to play Okami, I’m okay with this. However I could see how fans of the first game might want more than just motion control to warrant purchasing the game again.

‘i don’t think we’ll do 4 player coop for halo 3′
just days before announcing halo 3 4 player coop =)
@harrison: I don’t get the comparison, can you explain what you mean?
I dont see who this game is being targeted at. If its an exact copy Okami fans aren’t going to buy it because they already have it.
“I think that’s what fans of the franchise want to see.”
If he asked 100 fans what they would like to see I’m pretty sure none of them would ask for the same f*****g game they already have.
wish they would give the charachter real voices instead of those stupid noises when they talk
Y’know, Okami can hardly be perfected.
I would really like to know what could they possibly add to that game to make it even better.
And I agree that Okami fans already own the game. So Capcom is not concerned with them. That’s why they’re making an exact copy. So they can sell the product to the millions of casuals and the Nintendo gamers that missed playing that game because they didn’t own a PS2.
