Oblivion Mod: Deadly Reflex 3.2

Taking some time to promote a great mod from one of my favorite games, the Deadly Reflex Mod (aka Decapitation Mod) by Skycaptain. The mod livens up combat quite a bit by making things more interesting for players and NPCs. Included in the mod are shield bash moves, decapitation attacks, wrist slices and other gruesome combat feats that boost the games gore options. The mod also gives NPC opponents the ability to dodge and flip in combat making them much more acrobatic and difficult to hit.
The mod requires Oblivion 009b but patch 1.2 is suggested. Also if you use a previous version of the patch it must be disabled before using this new one.
how do i get it to activate i meen it won’t work

Dalton: Did you activate it in the data file menu? Or you can grab the Oblivion Mod Manager to help you manage all your mods as well.
wont work i can not do any combat moves!!
I can not get this mod to work, when i sart it shows the window to chose the sheid bash key but hen i hit done and nothing pops back up

Having the same problem here, no idea how to fix it. It asks me for a shield bash key, I press it, nothing happens. The next window doesn’t pop up and shield bash doesn’t work (nor do any other of the mod features).
Yeah… same problem with most of them really, Ive downloaded it, and checked the data files and ticked n stuff. But it still doesnt do anything in game…
Any ideas?
i love oblivion! i just wish it wasn’t M. i think it would really bennifet from being mabe T instead. cut out a few corpses and yea. it is just a bit bloody for my tastes. i still really like it, but my brother always joins the dark brotherhood and thats a bit nasty. when he went to the part when there is a traitor, he just HAD to show me all the nasty things, the head on a plate, the…things… in the fridge, yuck.

then OBSE
then OBMM
okey after you got this
try it first without any mods install the 4.0 version then the 4.2 okey after this launch OBMM ant put this files in THIS order to start the game.
1.Horse Combat.esm
2.timed blovk + (chose chagnes like higher damage or without any changes)
3.Mounted Spellcasting
4.Deadly Reflex – Combat Moves
after starting the game it MUST be askd to chose buttons for shield slam and dodje if it works install other mods . BUT THE FILES MUST BE IN THIS ORDER ( the oblivon.esm is a master file it can be placed at firs place )
DONT FORGET TO START THE GAME WITH OBMM i do so the first time it toke 2 week then i got it to work

Hey i got everythng what i need and i already instaled it, and manage to play buth the cutting part wont work , everything else works..In data fiels it dosent show the cutting ( i dont know dose it need to)..So pls help me ,.. i alsow got he Unofficial oblivion patch ( plus 1.1 , 1.2)

ye you must install the part with damage or without changes + you need have blade skill 50 or higher + the victim must be almost dead and then you target the neck or the poiint over your crownjuwels and you slash the head or in 2 pieces pff

its fuckin gay you have to be lvl 50 in blade, we need a mod like Dark Messiah where if u get a sword it does something to em i wanna play this game with blood and guts and shit and not have to gain levels,and i activated the Bash key but i still cant do it? maybe yall should fix this mod and make it better by adding even more gore e. on the weapon and stuff?

2.scroll dow n to oblivion patches and go to oblivion patch 1.2.0.416 which is the second or first link!

Ok i got obse v12 i can activate the mod use horse combat but i do not know the shield bash button wat is it?
i cant enable mod i try to load it with OBSE but it keeps on saying i need to upgrade my oblivion to version 1.2.0.416 i done it but in the middle of the upgrade/patch it dosent
ok to whoever can help me. i did what pussyranger said and put the files in that
order. BUT when i go into the game and im about to do a decapitation or anything the game minimizes and when i bring it back up the persons dead but they still have their head and torso. so who ever can help me please do.
hey i cant find where to get the 4.0 version all i end up with is the 4.02 and stuff and 3.2 wont work i got latest patch and the OBSE OBMMM dunno what to do i went to tesnexus but i cant find a download button all it has is screenshots and the info…? WTF!

get it from TES Nexus and go to search thingy on the right and type in deadly reflex and should come up with list of mods like deadly reflex 5.0 which dosent work becuase !OBSE! keeps on saying that i need to upgrade my oblivion to version 1.2.0.416 can anyone help me?

Here is how to install Deadly Reflexes:
- 1st make sure that u haf the 1.2.0.416 Oblivion Patch
(if u dont then google it, download it, dbl-click it, and install it)
- Then download and install OBMM (oblivion mod manager)
- Then download and install OBSE (oblivion script extender)
Once the above prerequisites are sorted out, the DR4 mod can be installed:
)
- Download DDR4 from common forums such as tes-nexus, fileplanet, planetES, etc.
- Download it on ur desktop (so it’s easy to access)
- Dbl-click the file (it should have a “book-stack” pic next to it – if it
doesnt then u have to download WINRAR from rarlabs.com)
- After dbl-clicking, extract the file by clicking EXTRACT TO and choose:-

- WINRAR will do it automatically… just be patient – it mit take a few mins…
- Once that is done, go to the Oblivion folder (ie. C:\Program Files\Bethesda
Softworks\Oblivion); then dbl-click Oblivion Mod-manager icon and make sure
that the files are arranged in this order:-
1. oblivion.esm (the position of this file ONLY does not matter)
2. horsecombat.esm
3. timedblock.esp (any 1 of 3 choices that u want)
4. mountedspellcasting.esp
5. combatmoves.esp
- When u have arranged the order of the files, make sure that they are all
ticked with a checkmark beside each file
- Next click EITHER the “Launch Oblivion” button (on the top-left-side – or
thereabouts and start playing) OR Optn2: click “obse_loader.exe” (it should
be in <> if u installed it) and start playing…
- You will know that the mod (DR4) is working IF you see a typical oblivion
message pop-up AFTER you click “NEW” or “LOAD” which will ask you to choose a
“free button” to activate your time block move… a total of three messages
should appear one-after-another.
- IF these mssges appeared then CONGRATULATIONS, the mod is working… even tho
u may not see the effects (prob. b’coz ur blade/block skill is too low)
- Finally, “SAVE” ur game as soon as all the mssges disappear – just in case
something stupid happens or the game crashes…
(lol coz it hapnd to me!
- Hope this guide works 4 u and enjoy DR4!!
Finally… if i’ve left some crucial steps out (i dont think – i hope) or if i’ve done something wrong, please address these issues in a reply – it would be greatly appreciated by me… coz im a n00b at installing mods too!!

Im about to give up. I keep getting the same old stupid message.
From the beginning I was receiving problems, loaded up the game fine and loaded my saved game with my Nord….. funny thing was is that the mod changed him into a default imperial
, I even tried loading a new game, but to no avail. So, I tried ::: sidd ::: theory out and I am proud to say it works like a charm

yeh anyway i use the extended script extender put textures meshes and whatnot in my oblivion data folder i use the obmm start the game pick new game and nothing happens just stays at splash….and if i try to load a saved game i get the old vista crash….oblivion has stopped working” this mod is really just overcomplicated to install and get running, its a shame looks good
uhg finally got the mod to work but when i cut someones head off i got big purple squares streaming from there head instead of bloood, so disappointing, i hate this mod, any suggestions?
OBSE doesn’t work in Linux
Is there any way to get OBSE working in Linux? I use WINE to run windows programs. I can use Cedega if necessary but it reputed not to work in that either. I have tried everything, I get a fault that crashes it each time.

great mod first it wont work then i download the script extender and so it worked…for 30 sec. i managed to save before the game crashed and now guess what? there is no indication the mod was ever applied except the screen is all laggy when i run like the camera cant keep up. so to everyone it worked for, must be nice. yea so i’m a lil f’n pissed. i’ve tried for a week to install this mod so yea…i’m done
