I have no doubt that the sale slump is in part due to the release date being pushed back , it let the hype die down.
Then we went through an almost 2 week period without a solid worldwide release date. I bought mine Oct 27th from one store , while another store listed Nov 2 or Nov7th as release date , that was just in one city , worldwide the situation wasn’t much better.
The ball was most certainly dropped.

People like what they like, it’s not necessary for me or anyone else to agree with Manofteals opinion, it’s completely unique to his experience with said game. I for instance could care less about most Nintendo titles, but apparently thousands love them. That doesn’t mean they are morons for liking those type of games, they just have different taste than I do. I’ve never understood why people resort to name calling because someone lampoons their favorite game or system, If you are happy then what does it matter what anyone else thinks. The time you waste flaming someone for their opinion could be better used enjoying your purchase.

I don’t really like LBP. I don’t hate it either (why would I???) I wouldn’t pay for it but I could play it (more) if I got it for free. Playing it at friends house was boring.

While I don’t agree w/ Norbit’s asshole-ness, he is correct.

LBP is an AMAZING game, but the only reason I’m playing it is because my roommate has a PS3. I just can’t see many people buying a PS3 for this game, the Wii has the absurdly designed side-scrolling game market on lockdown.

I’ve been playing it for a while now, and it really is fun to play (even though it’ll piss you off incredibly at times.)

Only 2 days of sales in October counted in the NPD’s for LittleBigPlanet and the launch was all over the place with a heck of a lot of people picking up copies pre release which didn’t count and many others not knowing when it was going to be released. Its estimated there were over 100,000 units shifted pre release in the states none of which counted in NPD data.

You are gleefully heralding the game a failure based on it selling 200,000 in 2 DAYS SALES!

BTW Manofteal. Try playing the fucking game and you wont sound like such an ignorant prick when you talk about it. You don’t have to create ANYTHING if you don’t want to. Saying you have to create stuff is as ignorant as saying you have to make videos in order to enjoy YouTube. Any person who has played the game would know that and they would know what a huge amount of fun it is to play. Try playing the game. Seriously, unless you hate video games you will like it. According to metacritic its now the highest rated exclusive on either the 360 or PS3 and that’s for a reason. 66 reviews worldwide have been included on there with 64 of them rating it 9/10 or higher. The lowest review score it has received anywhere is 8/10. Yet you feel you know better than them despite clearly not knowing much about it as evidenced by the fact you think players HAVE to create stuff?

Only the most deranged of fanboys would deprive themselves of playing a game as good as LittleBiglanet and to publicly condemn it without having played it takes another level of cunt altogether.

Actually, do you know what? Don’t play it. Its one of the best games ever made and I want someone who is going out of there way to ignorantly attack it to get no pleasure from the game at all because you don’t deserve it.

What a surprise..I’ve never understood the appeal of LBP anyway and why everyone keeps touting it as the greatest thing since sliced bread…..you have to remember that this game requires creativity on the part of the player to enjoy…..meaning to some, such as myself, that you actually have to do WORK to enjoy playing a game first…..I say Eff that.
