Got crysis run it on a dell vostro laptop with NVIDIA geforce 8600M GT 256MB grphics card,intel core 2 duo at 2.2ghz with 3.5gb mem.I found auto detect settings useless but get a superb result from customizing water quality to high,shaders quality-high,object quality-medium,game effects quality medium and set video mode to 1280×1024 1440×900 enjoy the games visuals this way and with full speed fab on direct x10.

The demo was fine for me, on default settings. It was not really fast, but I still think the game developers could of made some optimization when it came to building the levels, but I’m not sure if they did.

So basically, a guide for those who don’t want to take the time to learn the nuancies of tweaking Crysis and just want the easier way out. That’s what I’m sensing from this, and I think I’ll stick with Koroush’s guide when I download the Crysis demo.

LOW? Low looks worse than Far Cry.

However, I have a lame PC by Crysis standards and do start with Low settings and work my way up. I (basically) vainly attempt to get shadows and lighting enabled with decent framerate.

The game looks like Halo without any built-in shadow mapping or dynamic lighting for low end machines.

It rapes my PC, period.

Turn every setting to LOW.
