No Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Demo Coming

During and interview with Ubisoft’s Phil Therien, the game designer stated that a demo was not in the cards for the latest in the Tom Clancy franchise, Rainbow Six Vegas 2.
“We took the decision to spend our time on polishing the game and the demo option was cut. It’s really time-consuming to create a demo and we needed the dev time to finish our game.”
I guess that means that no one will be able to decide if RSV 2 will worth the time and money when it comes out later this month on consoles. It is always nice to play a demo of a game before you purchase it, and considering the fact that recent shooter games have been disappointing to say the least, a demo would have been nice. However, the coop in the game looks impressive, so we will just have to wait and see.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will hit the PC in April and to get more information on the game check out our previous posts.

If you’ve played the first Vegas and you’ve seen a few of the Vegas2 videos, you don’t really need a demo to decide.
After the direction the series has taken after Raven Shield and the disappointment that was Vegas PC, there’s no way I’m buying this one. Especially since coop is limited to 2 players. And how can you say the coop looks impressive? It’s nothing more than SP with a human player instead of an AI. Raven Shield and Ghost Recon supported more than 8 players for coop AND were open ended (not this linear point A to point B crap).
Because considering some of the crap co-op I have payed recently..cough Turok cough… the co-op in RSV looks impressive comparatively. Of course I have yet to play Army of Two.
I’ll give you that. It’s hard to find decent coop games any more these days. I think the last good coop game I played was GRAW 2, and I can’t remember what game I played before that. Really looking forward to the coop in Gearboxes Aliens game though, even if it is limited to 4 players.
I liked Recon and Shield, but they didn’t have the cover system that Vegas uses, and that is why I like Vegas so much, also, Vegas 2 is suppose to be much more open ended.
However, with no demo, I predict high pirating rates, just to see if the game is worth the 50-60 bucks that you’ll shell out, without a chance to return it, just to find out if it is good or bad
That’s because it’s going to suck. They ripped off another game, and therefor you need to earn better gear.. You, an elite member of an assault team has to earn better gear .. Ubi sucks so much.
I disagree. I like ubi and R6V was a great game, however i am annoyed that there is no demo….
