without online play, there is no reason to purchase a VC title. I mean why not just buy the old cartridge at a garage sale for 50 cents. The entire value of downloading retro games is to play them with friends. XBL is doing their games the right way.

LMAO. The split screen on that was great fun but go down to about 2fps at times lol

I used to like the Co-op on Sonic 2. My mate and I used to take it in turns to play as ’suicide fox’ otherwise known as Tails.

I absolutely REFUSE to buy anymore virtual console titles unless they have online play. This is something Nintendo could absolutely dominate with and would make me fire up my Wii more often if I was able to play old school games with my brothers to relive the good old days. They need to understand that online gaming is where the future! C’mon Nintendo! Wake up already!

Ahwell, at least the Wii Kart one will have it.

Though, I’d do it just to play Sonic 2 (and 3) online, both for single player and competitive mode…including bonus lag sequence at the start of split-screen Mystic Cave Zone Act 2…ah, the memories!
