No Online Co-op Create Mode at Ship for LittleBigPlanet

Sony Developer has broken the news that the online co-op create mode feature of LittleBigPlanet will be AWOL from the the shipped version. According to the US PlayStation Blog, it isn’t ready yet but should be included in the first big game update.
Players will still be able to play online and offline multiplayer as well as share their levels. You just won’t be able to create content online with your friends. You will be able to do it offline with 3-4 friends on one PS3.
It seems that many games of late are shipping without major features in place. Take for example Age of Conan and Warhammer Online. Both games took a lot of flak for adding in hyped features in updates. I would still rather wait a little longer for a finished product rather than get a half baked game on deadline.

What the hell? How does this boil down to being “half-baked.” The only half-baked game you mentioned was Age of Conan and I wouldn’t even put that in the same sentence as Little Big Planet or Warhammer Online. I don’t see this as a huge loss in the least, I’d rather create things locally with friends anyways than with strangers online.
I think Shawn’s point is that if a game isn’t finished, you don’t ship it yet. You don’t just decide to leave crucial parts of the game out, and ship it anyway.
TBH I’m fine w/ them shipping it w/out online co-op. I just want to be able to share levels online and I’ll be good to go
Half-Baked as in not finished. This is a highly anticipated and touted feature, it seems odd to ship without it. Not Half-baked as in poorly conceived.
“I would still rather wait a little longer for a finished product rather than get a half baked game on deadline.”
One little feature makes it ‘half baked’?
Online Co-op gameplay is a heavily touted feature. Online co-op level building ISNT.
Well i suppose some people have waited over a year for anything remotely negative about LitleBigPlanet to surface so its no surprise they make a big deal out of it
Norbit, we know your the most hardcore Sony fanboy out there, now you can just shut up. Please. Do us all a favor. I’m fairly sure even the Sony fanboys hate having to read your ignorant statements.
Lol, I didn’t even know this was part of the game til I heard it was cut.
Blasted dead lines .. O well .. Rather have the game with a small thing that can be easily patched cut out.
While this does suck, so long as offline, multiplayer coop design is in that will work till they can get it patched it.
Given how most of my friends don’t have a ps3 yet, this was pretty much how I was going to design at first anyways.
Lol funny I didn’t even know this was a feature in it!
.
Thats awesome.
But they still need to fix the game itself
So glitchy (freezes alot when it loads)
