Nintendo’s George Harrison to Retire

The rumors that three key Nintendo of America execs are on their way out appear to be true. Hard on the heels of yesterday’s discovery of two job postings for positions that seem to belong to Perrin Kaplan and Beth Llewelyn, the third of trio appears to be on his way out as well. George Harrison, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Communications, has announced his “early retirement” in an internal voice message.
It’s not clear at this time whether
George Harrison has been with Nintendo since just after the launch of SNES and has played a critical part in the business development of every succeeding console.
Nintendo of America has yet to confirm the departure of any of the three execs.
