Nintendo Wins Big at MCV Industry Excellence Awards; Strange Video Featured at Event

Every April, MCV hosts the Industry Excellence Awards with 650 people attending and more than 150 different companies represented. This year, the awards ceremony was hosted last night at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London – with 17 awards up for grabs. Now in its fifth year, the event recognises success and contribution from all sectors of the UK games market, which hit record sales of £3.4 billion across software and hardware in 2007.
Nintendo picked up four awards last night, and they were also the Exclusive Retail Partner of the event. Other sponsors who won awards were Gem and Codemasters. Play.com (who is currently selling Rock Band cheaper than anyone else in the UK), won the award for best Online Retailer, while HMV won Entertainment Retailer.
One of the strangest videos that I think I have ever seen was also featured at the festivities last night, and I have posted that above. To be honest with you, I could barely make it through the whole thing, and if you want me to be COMPLETELY honest with you, I stopped watching around the half way mark. Cheers to those you have enough hatred for their brains to watch the whole way through such cheese.
