Nintendo Short Cuts Entry – I Am Error

Matthew Dominick created this fun entry I Am Error, for the Nintendo Short Cuts Showcase, where filmmakers are invited to create a Nintendo-themed short film or video, and enter to win for prizes and a public screening. The top three films will premiere as part of Nintendo Short Cuts Showcase at the Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center during RF Center’s annual summer film showcase, June 19-22. First Place winner will receive:

Matthew’s video shows gamers what happens when you go on a Nintendo binge, complete with Pokemon, Mario, and Zelda themes. I myself have had hallucinations after playing too much Zelda. There have been many occasions where I have sworn that the distant music I hear in the mall, theater, or Sonic was the main theme music. One time, I was at a car wash waiting in line, and I heard the water-world music from Ocarina of Time. Sighing to myself, I reached in my purse for my medication, only to hear my passenger laugh about the Zelda music that the car wash was pumping through the speakers. After throwing my meds into the trash, I promptly called my doctor to demand a refund, but he refused. Unfortunately, now that I no longer have the meds, I hear Oblivion music. I expect men in white coats to show up at my door any day now.
