Nintendo: Don’t Bundle the Wii or Else… Something Might Happen

Given how hard it is to find a Wii, certain retailers have been taking advantage of the situation by forcing consumers to buy obscene bundles in order to get their hands on the system. Nintendo doesn’t take kindly to that situation, as Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime told Reuters.
“Retailers have already been given feedback that we are not big fans of that. We think it masks some of the price advantage we have versus our competition and, frankly, the consumer should decide what they want,” Fils-Aime said.
While he sidestepped a question as to whether Nintendo would threaten to reduce shipments to retailers who bundle the system, he did hint that it was a possibility.
“We don’t have to remind retailers of the strength we have right now. We are simply making an observation and that reinforces our point quite nicely with retailers.”
Hopefully Nintendo’s harsh words will be enough to prevent retailers from forcing $700 bundles on the consumer.

Good for Nintendo……keeping the retailers from sticking it to the little guy….
Haha, stores got owned by Nintendo – ‘do as we say, or else!’ LOL.
