Manhunt 2

NGamer was lucky enough to review the Wii version of Manhunt 2 before it was banned, and according to them, Manhunt 2 is one of the best games on Wii.

“The astonishing level of brutality is an integral part of the experience, and probably the aspect that delighted fans and appalled detractors alike will focus on, but there’s a lot more to it than just digital blood.”

They go on to describe the opening scenes, the different weapons at your disposal, execution styles, the Artificial Intelligence, and more. Reading this review just made it more painful knowing that I, nor anyone else I know will ever be able to play this version.

“Not only is it one of the best looking Wii games, with richly detailed environments and great animation, it’s also a cut above everything else in terms of audio quality. Crouched in a dark corner of a ruined house, Daniel’s thumping heart and the footsteps creaking the floorboards nearby make a fantastically tense soundtrack. The hunters come up with some pretty disturbing lines when they’re trying to flush you out, and the music is never intrusive – apart from the scenes where it’s intentionally deafening.”

Regardless of having to be toned down, rest assured Manhunt 2 will still scare us silly and be a great game – as expected. Rockstar had never let us down in the past, they are a solid company that provides hours worth of fabulous entertainment that towers above the competition in content and originality. Even a cleaned up version of Manhunt 2 will still be great – just wait and see.
