Crysis Multiplayer DX9 Movie
Crytek, the makers of the successful FPS, Far Cry, have released a new video showcasing their newest project, Crysis. Along with the open-endedness of Far Cry, the highlight of the game is the ability to modify all the weapons and even your own abilities on the fly. With just the touch of a few controls, you can quickly add a silencer to you weapon, increase your speed, heal wounds, etc. From the looks of the video, this can make for some very frenzied and chaotic firefights.

I wish they would have slowed it down to see the realtime fights..i would love to see the weapon modifiers.

    What a great video :D

The only thing being showcased here is graphics. It would be lovely to pair graphics like these with gameplay like Bohemia Interactive’s Armed Assault. It’s pathetic that gameplay this shallow will still sell games. It’s the video game equivalent of the lobotomized TV starlet. Paris Hilton, say.

I downloaded the video expecting to see the same interaction with the environment seen in a previous single player video. There was nothing like that. The game play shown here reminded me of the kind of tactics we used in Quake 2:rush in, hop around the enemy. The speed burst feature, (which may be integral to the single player)just killed my interest in this multiplayer. Where is the sneaking, the coordinating with other players? Why does the map look so small? I am not writing this game off, but I am concerned.

  10. definitely some amazing graphics there.

  11. I think all pass on this one. Nice graphics though
