New Trailer for Turning Point: Fall of Liberty Gives Me the Creeps

You have to hand it to the developers behind Turning Point: Fall of Liberty; they certainly know what the main draw of their game is. As such, their most recent trailer really drums up the premise of an alternate history where the US never enters World War II until the Nazis invade the East Coast. Rather than give some sort of odd history lesson to get this point across though, they made a video with “The Star-Spangled Banner” being sung in German while showing images of toppled New York structures and Nazi flags. It’s like watching a bizarre propaganda film from that era, and it just creeps me the hell out.

*shudders*
I never want to hear the US anthem sung in German again. It’s reeeeally creepy
I really love it when people charged with advertising come up with something inventive. Something a little bit different. The last good example I can think of is with Halo 3’s museum pieces, but I like this one a lot more. Very well done, and indeed, certainly creepy. I’m willing to bet a LOT of Americans are gonna be VERY…upset, after seeing that?
If the Germans really invaded and took over the US, wouldn’t they sing the German national anthem, not the Star Spangled Banner in German?
That is really weird and scary!!!!!!
Russ, I think that’s merely a notion to challenge the stereotypical trailer.
Indeed, I think this game needs all the garish illusions that it can muster. The demo was, to be frank, awful.
Creepy trailer, shit game…
It brings tears to my eyes. It does get the point across though.
