Supreme Commander Box ArtTHQ has announced that the next installment in the Supreme Commander series is set to be released in November for PC.

The new game will be titled Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, and will be a standalone title. However, it will be compatible with the original RTS title, which means there are all sorts of goodies coming for the original as well. Forged Alliance will follow the story of the Infinite War, and will include a new single-player campaign, a new faction, and new features for multiplayer. You can also look forward to over 100 new units, which will give the player access to navies, counter intelligence, and orbital weaponry.

Chris Taylor, CEO of Gas Powered Games, said, “Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance is not only the continuation of the epic story that is unfolding inside the game’s universe, it is the continuation of our goal to move the bar for RTS gaming even higher than ever.”

If you didn’t play the original Supreme Commander, go buy it now. Right now. Then come back, read this again, and drool. Supreme Commander was one of the best RTS titles I’ve played in a while, and I expect no less from Forged Alliance. Can November get here fast enough?
