The Famitsu crew has really outdone themselves this time. They have just released some of the most incredible Street Fighter IV screens I have seen to date. Included in the release of new screens are several featuring the mysterious Crimson Viper. By morning, these images will be all over the internet, as they are certainly the best piece of gaming news I have seen all day.
Check out samples of the images below:

If you liked those images, there are plenty more on Famitsu’s site. The site is in Japanese, but the images are all on one page.

OH MY SWEET JESUS!!! Seeing these brings a tear to my right eye.. I have a renewed sense of trust! Street Fighter IV will be the spiritual reincarnation of SFII !

It's looking that way. I was honestly burnt out on SF years ago, but it looks like it's making a return in a big way.

Looks awesome, I just don´t really like how the new character looks though. Also DO you guys think Chun Li is blocking in the last pic or parrying? i hope the latter.
February 8th, 2008 at 11:50 am
@Rory: It looks like a block to me. Wouldn't a parry be more of a "dodge" motion?
I'm happy to see Chun-Li got her thick legs back. It only makes sense that Chun-Li has thick legs since 90% of Chun-Li's moves are kick based. All those years of training to kick like a horse should make her legs thick.

Whatever! Those meatchunks are disgusting. Chun-Li should be smokin hot, not some ugly-ass horse-legged freak!

Are guys honestly debating blocking in a video game? Abso-friggin-lutely nerd-core. Honestly, give it a break.
February 8th, 2008 at 5:01 pm
@ Rory:
There isn't going to be any parrying in SF4. Guile FTW!
February 8th, 2008 at 5:04 pm
@Terence: You're calling debating blocking in a video game nerdcore? I think discussing Chun-Li's legs are more nerdcore than blocking/parrying.

Looks pretty interesting! Almost like an animated comic book
Do we know what system(s) it's coming out for…?

i'd like to think it's a parry, simply because of chun li's stance. look at the right leg. if she dropped down from there. the right leg could totally trip the chick character, and forget guile ftw; it's all about akuma! RAWWRRRR

I don't give a crap about Chun Li's legs, thick or thin, as long as she is hot.

I'm thinking there will be specific block animations so that the fighting looks more dynamic. The faces on all the characters are already much more animated than before. If you visit Famitsu's updated SF4 blog, you'll see the eyes literally bulge out on characters who are getting hit or thrown.

This looks,…. Pretty sad to be honest
I liked street fighter 1&2, but this….
I mean, come on guys, Its the flippin age of next gen gaming, If this is what the game looks like on playstation 2, I would say it was good graphics, but to release this on new consoles AS A FULL GAME, seems rather eccentric. Don't hate me for giving my HONEST OPINION!!!!! I'm only stating that I WOULD NEVER PAY FULL PRICE FOR THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am being a true rater by saying that this game does not look good, but I have not tried a demo or seen in game movies, so I can't comment on the gameplay as such.

Maybe this should be called "Street Fighter 2^2" (that's 2 squared)
February 10th, 2008 at 6:44 am
@Special K: We can only hope! Its great to see all the characters from the best fighting game of all time, and looking cooler than ever (only the shot of dhalsim stretching doesn't look great), and now we've got to wait to see if the gameplay is up to scratch. As to the art, I've only seen similar inking in a game with Ultimate Spiderman, but this looks better!

the game will be complete crap and a total waste of time for whoever plays it

This looks like a pretty cool game. I don't know how they could really improve upon the original, but the drawings look really tight.
March 21st, 2008 at 7:37 am
Any way I think the game is going to pwan. I think it is m4d l33t that there will be charachters, even though the old school people suit me fine. I just hope the story-line follows

Chun-Li is the sexiest woman in the world, with a body out of this world….omg, alpha 3…sheesh!…lol…if I ever saw someone like her in real life, i'd kidnap her and lock her up in a dungeon until she loved me. She's doesn't even belong in the same category as hot, she has her own rank.
There's hot, and then there's CHUN -LI!
Honestly, if I told you i knew a girl that was "Chun-Li hot", what would you say?
*Kisses her left thigh*
