New Sonic Unleashed Trailer is So…Incredibly…Fast

Stephany already covered SEGA’s announcement of Sonic Unleashed this morning, but now we’ve gotten our hands on a new trailer for the upcoming game. For a change, this actually looks like a game starring the blue hedgehog that’s worth getting excited over. The trailer shows some gameplay off, which features Sonic doing what he does best: running really, really fast through crazy environments. Maybe SEGA has finally figured out that we don’t want annoying side characters and strange gameplay in our Sonic games? I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; please don’t suck! Especially when you’re looking so unmittigatingly awesome.
I love Sonic. I’d play it all day. But a next gen Sonic 3 just won’t cut it. It needs some of the 3D feel as well. However, it does look awesome.
Hope they add chao again. I love chao.
Sonic has had a hard time trying to make it into the gaming world where 3D and super graphics reign supreme. But sonic really wasn’t meant to be a Legend of Zelda style adventure game. It looks to me like this game will return to Sonics original side scrolling roots during many parts of the game, but will allow for some 3D and on rails style movement similar to Sonic Riders. Definetly the right step in the right direction, now let’s see if Sonic can reclaim the title he deserves, the fastest thing alive.
