New So Blonde Screenshots

No the Adventure game is not dead. Earlier this year Gaming Today introduced you to an upcoming adventure title from French developer Wizarbox; So Blonde. There are some really great new screens out for it.

sunny_sb.jpgSo Blonde Centers around a spoiled 17 year old named Sunny Blonde who washes up on an island in the Bermuda Triangle after a storm . It seems that Sunny’s not only shipwrecked, but has traveled back through time to the 17th century when Pirates terrorized the Caribbean. Deprived of all her accustomed luxuries, Sunny learns to survive in this strange new world, proving along the way that she’s not just a dumb Blonde.

The game features classic inventory and combination puzzles. It also has a sense a humor. There are pop culture references throughout the game including allusions to Lord of the Rings, Lost, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, World of Warcraft and Monkey Island.

So Blonde will be published by Anaconda and is scheduled for release in November 2007.

The game looks great and reminds me very much of Monkey Island, a series that I have always loved. If you are a fan of Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, or King’s Quest you may really enjoy this game. Check out the new screenshots here on FileFront.

    So Blonde Walkthrough

    Day 1

    On the beach take the coconut. Look at the water on the rock and Sunny says she can collect water in a container. Take the plastic tube from wreck. Lock at the raft and then try to take something from it. The little animal with Sunny’s handbag jumps from the raft and climb the tree. Take from raft food ration. Look at animal in the tree and Sunny notice that this is her handbag. Try to catch the animal but is too high. Go back to the beach and collect water on the rock into coconut. Go to the animal and try to give him coconut with water. After he refuses, add food ratio in coconut. Try to give him again this food. The animal refuses again so you must make the food to taste better. Take fresh fruits from the base of tree and add them to coconut, then give this food to the animal. He will eat the coconut and you can retrieve the handbag. Look in the handbag and take makeup kit, nailfile, body oil, credit card and cell phone. When you try to go to the boy Sunny says that her makeup is gone. Go to the beach, and look into the water. Use the makeup kit on water and she restore her makeup and now you can talk with the boy. After you talk with Enrico go to pier.

    Pier

    Enter in the hut and observe chest, window, round weight, ladder and carpet. The round weight and ladder are out of reach. Also notice a crack near the shelf. Exit the hut and go to the right, to pier. Talk with Juan and after he leaves take the cork on that barrel. Also take the funnel near the man who paints the boat. Go to hut and use the cork on the rounded weight. The shelf will collapse and you can take the rope ladder.

    The ship

    To aboard the ship you must use rope ladder on Max (the little animal) and then Sunny must use Max on ship’s entrance (where the two cannons are). Now climb the ladder and after you examine whatever you want on the ship go to crew’s quarters. Take the leather bag near the man who stands up. Talk with the men and then you must win the game. After winning the game the captain Morgane comes to the crew’s quarters and after you talk with her she throws you in jail.

    Escape from ship’s jail

    Sunny is closed in jail, then with fingernails try to cut the jail door. She can't free herself, and the Max appears. Now you will control Max. Go upstairs and take the bottle of rum from bag on the right. Go upstairs again on the deck, an take it to the left on the ship. In the left is a fisherman, put the bottle of rum near him, and the he will drink from it. Now take the fishing pole and use it on the green hole with that bad smell. You must to obtain the key of the cell. After you give the key to Sunny she wills be free.

    Go upstairs and take biscuits near barrel. Try to take the bag on the corridor on the right near the door. The cell phone ring, and then Morgane leaves the room. She wants to duel with you. After you make due, she said to eat together.
    In the crew cabin take the leather bag. Then go to Morgane cabin. Put the silver skull in the hole near the golden skull. Press the golden skull that actives a mechanism. The door to Morgane cabin will open. Sunny wants to leave a note to Morgane.

    Blowing the town’s door

    Go downstairs near the jail is a barrel with gunpowder. Take the gunpowder in the leather bag. Use body oil on fuse string to take it. Go off the ship and go on that bridge and you will arrive at the door of town. Use the gunpowder on the door and she said that she need something to guide the gunpowder. Put the funnel in the door lock. Now she wants to clean the funnel. Go on the ship, in the front end where the fishing pole was, and clean the funnel in the bucket with fresh water. Also take the square peg. Go back to the town door and put the funnel, then gunpowder on the dor, then put the fuse string and blow the door. To blow up the door you need a lighter. But you don’t have one. Then you meet Diablo and he speak to you. Sunny gets mad and she will hit him. Look at Diablo and Sunny observe the matches in his pocket. Then take matches from Diablo and use them to ignite the fuse. After blowing the door retrieve the funnel.

    After blowing the door talk to the people in town and with Erico’s brother. Talk to the people in the town and you receive the mission to inform Maria that his brother Erico was taken by Diablo. Go in the inn, talk with Nacho, play darts, take the pair of bellows. Talk with Vasco the bartender, and he tell you about the bedroom. Talk to Nacho to obtain the money. Go to Vasco and after you give him the coin you will have the keys to the bedroom. In the room you find a pig. Give back the key to the bedroom to Vasco and retrieve the gold coin. Go downtown and then to Town Hall. Talk to the Miss Brown the go to Colonial Park. Take the pliers from stall, near pond take a green leaf of wild plant and gravel. Throw with gravel on the window up to balcony where Juan is working. Sunny says that she needs something else to make Juan to look on the window. Look at the pink roses and Sunny has an idea. Talk to Perry to see the roses and his whistling will make Juan to see you. Go to Juan’s room. Take the cogwheel on the floor and talk with Juan. He tells you about his plan and the you must go to Morgane’s cabin. When you want to sleep Sunny said she has other things to do before she sleep. Go to the jail and wake Amadeo. Talk to him and find that he will lend you the awl only if you give him some polish. Go to the small boat, and take the brush and polish from equipment. Give the polish to Amadeo in return of his awl. Go to Morgane’s Cabin and open the drawer with awl. Look at the picture and drawing and then take a nap in her bed.

    Day 2

    Go to the Inn and speak with Miss Brown. She drinks coffee. Talk to Vasco about cappuccino and then Sunny makes a list with ingredients.

    Preparing the cappuccino

    You need coffee (filtered), milk (heated, froth the milk before use:)), sugar (optional), chocolate (optional). Go to the bank and notice that there is chocolate. Talk to bank manager and you will find that he will give you chocolate only if you are client of the bank. Exit the bank, and Sunny suggest that she must talk with Sancha, she is in upper town, in the left of the bank. She tells you that you must work for money in order to become client of the bank. Go back to bank and talk to Guzman. He tells you that if you find Miguel he will give you money. Look at the window in bank then use pliers on window. The rusty nail will fall making window open. While Guzman comes to repair the window enter in his office and take chocolate.
    Go to the town hall and try to enter, and then return to inn, and speak with Miss Brown. Go to Bajari Camp and take the yellow leaf from wild plant. There is the cow, but to take the milk you must have a empty bottle that you will find on the big ship, where the fishing pole was.
    Go to Maria and after you beat her you obtain the sugar. She tells you that you will find filter for coffee at Olivia (she own the fabric shop).
    Go downtown at Olivia’s shop and take the spool behind the red cortin, and after you speak with Olivia she gives you the cloth.
    Go to the Inn, and tell Vasco that you are ready to prepare cappuccino. Ask him to make a coffee and to give you a empty can. Put the funnel on the cloth and then put this filter on the can. Take the coffee and filter it. Use the bottle of milk on the coffee can but Sunny says that the milk must be hot. Give the bottle to Vasco to heat the milk. Use the bellows combined with rubber tube on milk to obtain froth milk. Put the froth milk over coffee, then sugar. When trying to put chocolate over milk Sunny says that the chocolate must be grated, so take the nailfile and grate the chocolate. Put the chocolate over milk and the cappuccino is ready. After Vasco drinks he will give you a map. Take the cup of cappuccino and give it to Miss Brown. She is delighted and she ask Vasco to reward you. Vasco will give you a rare bottle of rum.

    After receiving the map go in the jungle and take the red leaf of wild plant near the iron plate. In the jungle take it to the right and you will discover the voodoo village.

    Entering in the voodoo temple

    After you talk with the men near the fire, try to enter in the temple. She won’t entering so try to fit in the gap in the bushes near temple in the right. She won’t do this so return in the market and talk with Angelo. He tells you that the voodoo chief found an artifact. Then talk with Sancha in inn about this topic. Now you find that the artifact can cure stuff, and Sunny has the idea to cure Bajari’s chief.

    Retrieving the mp3 player

    Go to the temple and speak with the chief. Get the mp3 player and then give it to chief to listen music. He won’t let you to take it from temple. So trade the bottle of best rum with him. You will not receive the mp3 player but you will receive a golden ring. Exit the temple and the sit down on the stone near temple. Max appears and then you can control him. Enter with him in the temple through the gap in the bush. Take the branch on the ground, the use it on the stone in the opening o the temple. Enter in that crack, play the game and a quake take place. The chief will come out and will give you the mp3 player.
    Visit Miguel

    Go to bajari’s camp and then use the mp3 player on the drum. The drummer will learn new rhythms and chief will came out inviting you in his hut. Talk with chief in his hut about all topics. Then go to stockade and talk with the guardian. Enter in stockade and speak with Miguel. He ask you a paper to write a note to his father and to collect 6 turtles on the beach.

    Go to the town’s door and Morgane appears. After you wake up in the room, take the glass on the shelf. Use the credit card on the door, but Sunny says that she needs to find out who is in the room next to her. Look at the carved relief on the door, then push it and after this use the glass on the door to listen. Talk to One-Eye about all topics. They throw you again in that room from where you can escape using the credit card on the door. Go to the dark beach and then to Inn in the town. Talk with Elvis about everything. Look at guitar and then take a poster so Miguel can write a note. Go to the town’s door and talk with Juan. Ask him about pencil and he will give you the key to his office. Go on the beach an capture the turtles. At returning stop to Morgane’s cabin and talk with her. Then go to Juan’s office and take the pencil. Go to stockade and find that you can’t enter. Talk to chief and he tells you that you can enter whenever you want. Enter in stockade and give poster, pencil and turtles to Miguel. After this you must give the turtles to other prisoners in order to receive 2 notes from Miguel (one is for his father, the other for his fiancée). Go in town and give one note to his father at the bank and receive 20 doublons. After exit the bank, the voodoo chief comes and takes you to trial. After you respond correctly to 5 questions you will be free.

    Day 3

    In the inn take the salt cellar from the table then talk with the woman Dulce who is the Carmen’s mother. Look at posters on the wall in marketplace then go to the fabric shop and buy the dress. After you exit the shop Sunny says to visit Juan to find a room to sleep.

    Find a place to sleep and bath

    Talk with Juan and he gives you the key of his house. Then go in the jungle and from there go to forgotten cloisters and then to the right to major’s manor. There take the bamboo tube near at the bottom of the palm and then a log from backyard. Look at the pump down where the bamboo pipe is and attach the bamboo pipe at the pump. It won’t stay there so you need something to make the tube not falling. Look at the window and there is a wood stick. Take it and use it on the pump then put the bamboo tube. Take a look at tubes near the house then take the iron bar near them. Put the iron bar to pump some water and then use the coil from Olivia shop with pipes near boiler to repair the pipe and after this you need to pump water 3 times. Use the key on the house door and after you enter Juan appears. After you talk to him take the paper near bed. Look at the barrel where you must to have a bath, and Sunny realize that the pipes doesn’t have a faucet. Go outside and use the log on the axe to get a chopped log. Use the chopped log on the boiler, then put the paper and with the matches light a fire.
    Go to Olivia’s shop and tell her to deliver the dress to Juan’s manor. Go in marketplace and talk with Angelo about Enrico and the pit. Mr. Guzman comes outside and talks to you, but he won’t tell where you can find Carmen.

    Help Enrico

    Go to dark crossroads and then to right at the Pit. Talk with guardians then leave to ruins uphill. Go in marketplace and talk with Angelo about his brother and find that Carmen is reading in the Colonial park. Talk with Carmen and give her the note from Miguel. After this, talk all topics with her and then leave to Juan’s office but Miss Brown inform you that he’s not in there. Go to town’s door where Max appears and then the Bajari guardian. Go to Bajari’s camp and talk with the chief. Now he won’t allow you to enter in the stockade. Now you can go to visit Juan in his office. Talk with him about wedding and he will give a … then Morgane and Diablo enter in his office. Diablo arrange the tree trial, so you need to pull 3 trees from ground.

    Help Juan from trial

    With Sunny, talk with chief, then look at small trees, then talk to chief again and Morgane. Now you need to find an expert. Go in Colonial Park and talk with Percy, but he is not an tree expert, just a gardener. After you ask him about an expert he tells you that the expert is Javier who lives just before Juan’s Manor. Before you leave take the gravel near the pond then go to forgotten cloister. Talk with Javier then take the hat from left side. Try to go on the doorway in the tower but Sunny says that shw won’t go until the seagull fly away. Go outside and throw with gravel in the seagull on the tower near telescope. Go up in the tower and look through telescope. Go downstairs in Javier’s house and speak with him about everything. Then look in the library on the left and take the book with exotic species of trees. After this go to Golden Glade and show the book to bajari’s chief. Juan can’t pull up the trees so you have to do something. Go to forgotten cloisters and take the bucket on the well. Try to take a bucket full of water using the bucket on the well, but you lost the bucket. Go up in the tower and near the telescope is a coil of rope. Take it and go downstairs in house is a hook on the wall in left, where the blue hat was. Use the pliers on it and take the hook. Go outside near well and combine the hook with coil of rope. Then use it on the well to recover the bucket. You obtain a leaky bucket. Use the square peg on bucket to obtain a repaired bucket. Then use it on the well and after winning the game you have a bucket full of water. Go to Golden Glade and use the bucket full of water on the small tree, then Juan win the contest.

    Prepare the wedding for Carmen

    After this go in town to obtain signatures for marriage license from Dulce and Guzman. Go to the town hall to meet Juan to give him the license signed but he isn’t in his office. Go to Olivia’s shop and tell her to find Carmen and dress for wedding. Go again in the inn and talk with Vasco and ask about Elvis. You find that Elvis is on the beach playing with his guitar. So go to Elvis and after you talk with him you find that he needs a bible. Go to forgotten cloisters and talk with Javier about Elvis. Take the blue book from library.
    Look at the painting on the right then try to take it. The painting falls so you discover a safe. You don’t know the combination so ask Javier. Look at all carvings from 1 to 6 then try to take the bible. Sunny realize the code to the safe. Go to the safe and after you put the correct combination take the painting and a small key. Use the small key with chains on the bible. Take the bible and go to Elvis on the beach and give it to him. Also give him the blue book (musical book) and in return he gives you a semi-precious stone and he asks you to find some strings. Go back to forgotten cloisters and look at flying machine. The strings from piano are excellent. So use the pliers on them to take them to Elvis. In the Juan’s office talk with him then all are arrested. Now the wedding can’t start because Miguel has beard and his clothes are filthy. Talk with Juan to help. Go with him to his house and try to enter in the house. Because he hasn’t the key, try to enter on the window. Of course the window is not opened so look at pump. Take the iron bar, a log from backyard, then put the log in front of the door, and with iron bar break the door. Take clothes from wardrobe then look at closet in left. Use the key on it to open and take the razor and soap. After this go to stockade. Give to Miguel the clothes and then they go to a hut to arrange. Talk with people and then go to the hut door and ask if Miguel is ready. After this the marriage can start but One-Eye appears and takes you.

    Talk with One-Eye and after Max appears talk with him about animal. One-Eye lets you free so when you exit you must find Juan to talk with him. Go to town hall and find this closed, then go behind in Colonial Park and find Nacho on the bench. After you try to wake him up, look at Juan’s window. Take some gravel near pond and try to throw it in his window. But she won’t throw so you need to climb the bamboo tree in the left. Talk with Juan about all topics. Take the poem on the desk.

    Day 4

    In this night go to marketplace and look at the panel. See the poster with higher taxes because of Sunny’s interference. Take that poster then go to Morgane’s cabin on her ship. Amadeo won’t let you in so you must to do something. Go in front of town’s door and capture fireflies on the bush. Go to Amadeo and use fireflies on the skull over his head then talk with him. He will be scared and he will run away so you can enter free to Morgane’s cabin. Enter in the cabin then go to drawer. Open it and look at the paper. Use the poem to match the handwriting. So One-Eye wrote the threatening note. Take the threatening note from drawer and the empty wine bottle from desk. Go outside on the desk where the fishing pole was and talk to Amadeo again. Give him to look at threatening note and poster with taxes, and still he doesn’t believe that One-Eye is the sender of the message. Combine threatening note with poster and give to Amadeo to check again. After you show him again he’s convinced that One-Eye wrote that note and tells you to speak with bajari’s chief. Show to bajari’s chief the note and after you talk with him you must to find Max. Go to inn and talk with Nacho, Vasco and Sancha and find that you must talk with voodoo chief.

    Ruins

    After you talk with voodoo chief who is outside of the temple near fire go to the jungle and from there to Old Ruins of Ku (check the marked tree on the right with inscription “RUINS”). Take the blue leaf of wild plant at entrance in ruins. Look at the gate, hole, mechanism, and at the shrine twice. Notices that inside the ruins the flames are purple so put the red leaf on the shrine then the blue one and fire them up with matches. After you enter inside the ruins, look at sacrificial shrine and at boulder then Mabuya appears. Talk to them and they put you to some task.

    Sacred Bone

    Leave to bajari’s chief. He doesn’t want to answer your questions so ask the drummer about the bone. Now you need to find a replacement for the bone so he can beat the drum properly. Go to the voodoo chief and notice that he’s cooking. He uses a big wooden spoon. Talk with him and Sunny offers her help. Give him the food ratio (can be found in the raft on the beach) and then he goes in the bushes. Take the wooden spoon. Go to bajari drummer and give him the wooden spoon in return of sacred bone. Go to town’s door and take the hammer in front of it, near the stone, on the ground. Go back to Old Ruins of Ku and talk to Mabuya. They say to put the bone in the grave behind them.
    Then a third task you must complete: a personal sacrifice. Put you makeup kit on the sacrificial shrine and then talk to Mabyua again. They give you another task, a riddle to solve.

    Solving the riddle from Mabuya at Old Ruins of Ku

    Go to the door of the ruins and spin the circles: outer disc with man to the top of the screen, second disc with the woman at the bottom of the screen, the third disc with comb to the top of the screen, and the inner circle with the moon down. Then press the button on the right with the purple hand. The gate will open so you can enter in the ruins.

    Try to take the sword on the floor, then take the metal disc on the left. Use it with the stone eye then a bridge appears for a second, then Sunny says that the metal disc needs to be polished. Go to Morgane’s ship, and talk with Amadeo (he’s in the left of the ship) to polish your disc. Return to Old Ruins of Ku and use the polished disc again with stone eye. Cross the bridge and solve the puzzle like this: man, comb, moon, woman. The best way is on the right side.
    Go inside ruins and then you enter in the cave of big tree. There look at everything, and take the eye that floats over Max. Taking the eye make Max feels bad. So give him as offering the poem from Juan. Then take the makeup kit and go to inn to talk with Sancha who is staying in front of the panel in marketplace. After this go to bajari’s chief and show him the eye. He sends you to voodoo chief. Talk with him and he tells you that you need to give the eye to One-Eye, and to go at The Evil marsh.

    The evil marsh

    Take the piece of bamboo and sea shell on the left. Then pass the river on the stone, and go right. Look at the vine tree. Try to cut it with pliers. Next try to cut it with sea shell. The sea shell is hurting Sunny so you need another solution. Combine piece of bamboo with sea shell to obtain a knife. Use it on the vine tree to get the vine. Then go back in the center and look at the branch in the tree. Sunny says she needs something so swing to cross on the other side. Use the pliers on the vine then use the vine on the branch. The plan goes wrong because you felt but the branch now is in the water so you can cross the river. On the other side take the branch from the ground. That branch can be use as a lever so go to the boulder in the right side and push the boulder in the river so you can access the hermit’s cave.

    Ingredients for the spell

    Talk with Jibaro and he tells you that you need 5 ingredients for the spell:
    1) A small piece of black volcanic rock
    2) A sliece from the heart of the Island (ask Mabuya, they know what is it)
    3) A white marsh lily
    4) A few drops of sea water
    5) A strand of One-Eye’s hair

    Exit the Jibaro’s cave and go in the upper left corner, there is the white lily. Try
    to take the lily, but it won’t work so use the knife. After this go to pier and use the empty wine bottle on sea to take sea water (if you don’t have the bottle you can find it in the Morgane’s cabin on the desk). Then go in Colonial Park and talk with Nacho, he tells you that One-Eye’s hat felt in the fountain. So go in the upper town, in the left of the marketplace and search there for the hat. You can take the One-Eye’s hair. After this go to Old Ruins of Ku and with hammer knock the boulder to take black volcanic rock. Now you need to speak with Jibaro again about Mabuya. He send you to voodoo chief who teach you how to call Mabuya. Go to Old Ruins of Ku and stand in front of the grave, then Sunny said the phrase and Mabuya appears and tells you that the heart of the island is the oldest tree (where max lives). Go at the entrance of Max shelter at the ancient tree in the Old Ruins of Ku, and take the bark sample. Then go to Jibaro and tell him that you have all 5 ingredients. Put the lily in the mortar, then all the other ingredients, and in the end put water. After you mix them, use the mortar on the fire to dry the mixture. Then Sunny ground the mixture and you need a container to put in, but you don’t have, and you can’t take the jar either. So ask Jibaro if he has something. He gives you a little bag where you put the spell powder.

    Now you wake up in Juan’s manor. Go in market place and talk with Dulce then look at the panel. One-Eye and Morgane are going to married so you need to be sure if Juan is ok. He tells you to visit Morgane. After the chat with Morgane, go to pier and talk with Sancha. Find that the gift from Morgane to One-Eye is a glass eye. Give her the eye of One-Eye in return of glass eye. Then go to town, where Diablo captures you and take you to the pit.

    Free Sunny

    Amadeo inform Juan about this and then ask Amadeo for more details. Go then with Juan to Maria in Golden Glade, speak with her, then go to the pit. After the scene go to Diablo’s cave and find the clothes to disguise. Get waistcoat on the skeleton and bandana. Then go to Olivia’s shop and try to take a ring but Olivia disagrees. Then spread the pearls on the left on the floor and when Olivia collects them back get the earring. Then go outside and Juan run at town’s door where you speak with Dulce. Note the clothes on the right side and after you speak with her, take the grey wet shirt. You need to dry quickly the blouse to go to volcano. There combine clothes peg with wet blouse, then put it on the rope. After this rotate the shrine to move the blouse closer to center of volcano. After few moments, Juan takes the shirt dry and then go to Golden Glade. Talk with Maria then use the waistcoat to change like Diablo and then go to Pit. When you arrive there, One-Eye comes outside the Pit and then you must to stay on the tree trunk next to you. After he leaves talk with the guardian in the right side, and enter in the pit. Talk with the guardian inside the pit, then with Sunny and Enrico. Talk with Maria to knock out the guard on your signal. Then go to speak with the guardian again. Juan is giving the signal to Maria and knocks him. Now look at knocked guardian and Sunny says that she needs to tie him. Take the coil of rope and tie him. Take the metal pipe from the back the talk with Juan. Look at the pit door then put the metal pipe combined with the hammer. After this, talk with Maria to push the metal bar. The door will open and free the people.

    Go downtown and then to the old town. Give a biscuit the dog or a ratio from raft on the beach. Take the blue collar. Take another food ratio from the raft then go to Dark Beach. Give to the dog the food ratio but he don’t like it. Then give him the blue collar and the dog will run after it. Take the rope. Go to the other side and tie the pirate with the rope.

    Disguising

    Go to bajari’s camp and talk with the drummer. He says that everybody is preparing for the wedding, but Carmen and Miguel are still in the hut in the stockade. So go in the stockade look at the cat then go to the right at the door of the hut. Ask Carmen to lend his wedding dress. Now you have to do something with your hair.
