New SKATE “Flick It” Trailer

This new trailer for the upcoming SKATE shows a bit more of how the new control scheme will work. Essentially, one joystick will be used for movement, while the other will control the tricks you pull off. It’s quite a divergence from the control standard of past games, such as Tony Hawk. We’ll have to see how smooth the new controls are and if the game holds up to other franchises when its released on September 12th.
I’m happy to see a skating game that doesn’t revolve around insane incomprehensible chaining of tricks.
I always wanted a slower-paced skating game, although it does look like they kind of got the idea from Project 8’s thumbstick control.
