It made sense to me. It showed just how much more interactive the game is compared to its predecessors. Before today, I'd never seen just how detailed the environments were. The overall vibe I got was...intimate. We're following the thief as she's tiptoeing through the house, and we're treated to intimate looks into the Sims' private lives and that gives us an idea of how different and new Sims 3 is. The act of stealing candy from babies and its moral implications doesn't really bother me all that much, but then I don't play video games just for philosophy. The trailer made me giggle.
