New PSP Model Hits Stores in a Bundle

The new, slimmer model of the PSP is now in retail stores, but you’re going to have to buy some other stuff along with it. Right now, you can only get the silver version, which comes with a 1 GB memory stick, a copy of the game Daxter, and a UMD of Family Guy episodes; all for the price of $200. Granted, those are all pretty cool things to have for the PSP; sure beats those in-store bundles where they try to make you buy their copies of “Billiard Adventure” or something like that. Later in the month, Sony will release a black PSP that will be sold by itself for $170. And on October 9th, the Star Wars bundle will hit store shelves, featuring a white PSP with an image of Darth Vader on the back, as well as a copy of Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron; also for $200.

I was lucky enough to receive a new PSP as a gift from my girlfriend a couple of weeks ago in order to keep me occupied while I’m bed-ridden after my surgery next week. Even though the new slimmer version is out now, I still appreciate the thought and have been enjoying my PSP since I got it.
