New PSP Firmware Useless to Those Without PS3

Sony has released firmware v3.95 today to the collective sigh of PlayStation Portable owners who aren’t also owners of a PS3. The new firmware simply adds support for Remote Play related features, and while welcomed by those who do make use of the feature, are worth skipping if you aren’t in possession of a PS3.
The update includes the following, according to PlayStation.Blog:
- While playing PSone games on your PSP, you can now customize how the buttons are assigned by going to [Controller Settings] > [Assign Buttons] and select [Custom].
- You can now quit Remote Play and choose to turn off your PS3 or leave it on after quitting. This is useful if you are performing a download and want to quit Remote Play, but still want your download to continue on the PS3. Select [Quit and Turn Off the PS3 System] or [Quit Without Turning Off the PS3 System] from [Quit Remote Play] when you press the HOME button on the PSP system.
Sony does like to sneak features into firmware updates from time to time and make no note of them (for absolutely no reason, mind you), so perhaps such a thing will be unearthed in v3.95. But don’t count on it.

why do they always put such crap into updates and never anything thats actually useful.
what i want is an update that makes more websites accesible, especially hotmail.
