Sony PSPGood news for PSP owners! The most recent PSP firmware update (v. 3.50), ninja’ed your processor speed from 266 Mhz to 333 Mhz.

Unfortunately, your current games won’t run any faster, but developers with games currently in development DO have access to the new CPU speed. So, all the talk about the CPU clock being limited to help conserve battery power, was it just talk? Or will our poor PSP’s be less battery efficient on the new, higher powered titles?

Shawn has mentioned the rumored redesign on Gaming Today before, and this looks to be one more sign pointing in that direction. A newly redesigned PSP has been rumored to have better battery life, which would be much better suited for the newly unleashed processor.
