There are two things Ubisoft is really stressing about their new Prince of Persia game: the new art style and your new AI buddy, Elika. But apparently, having her be AI-controlled may just be one of the options available to you. Community development manager for the game, Chris Easton, recently mentioned that they may still explore the possibility of co-op for the game.

“There are no plans for co-op as of now, but we may explore the possibility.”

This does however go directly against producer Ben Matte’s earlier statement that there would be no co-op. It does seem like an nice fit for the game though, considering you’re apparently accompanied by Elika throughout the story. We’ll keep you posted.
